So, a group of us were discussing the upcoming premier of the new Star Wars movie (apparently, tickets are already on sale), when the topic moved over to what to wear at said premier. One person noted that he had dressed up like Chewbacca and his significant other as Han Solo for The Force Awakens (and that she was upset that she died during the movie).

I said, "I can totally do an old Han Solo! Have a hole in my stomach..."

Someone said, "walk by Kylo Ren, and say, 'dick'"

My response was, "You are so grounded!"

"Wait 'til I tell your mothe-- oh."

"Hold on; can I do that Force ghost thing?"

Of course, if I really wanted to get fancy with the costume, there's always this trick:

Best Halloween Costume Ever: Use Two iPads to Create an Awesome Gaping Hole in Your Gut
A very smart dude by the name of Mark Rober figured out that if you strap two iPad 2's to yourself, you can create this incredible, freaky hole…

Sure. The question is would the ghosts want to work with ME? ;)

I find it interesting that the general consensus is that all apparitions (and aliens for that matter) have some sort of malevolent intentions. Casper seems to be the only exception, and he's the Colin Kaepernick of the spirit world. :o

I just think it would freak the hell out of me if I was locking up late at night in the castle and heard strange noises.
But then, it could all be a publicity thing to draw people in, maybe.

It would freak me out to think that after I've passed on, I'd be stuck in a castle with people who were afraid of me. Of course those ghost might just be bored and are screwing with visitors for something to do for eternity. :D

Are there any caveman spirits roaming about? If not, why not?

Eerie to me is just the human mind's need to explain everything and when we can't, it's supernatural. But really it's ONLY natural.

Well I can imagine some horrendous things were done to people in castles. You can understand it if some poor tortured souls might be slightly bitter about that.

I can't speak for the ghosts, but if horrendous things were done to me in castles, a castle is the last place I'd want to be. Unless your suggesting that somehow they are stuck there, which given all the supernatural powers they seem to have to do mischief, seems a little incredulous.

Of course, if our spirits pass from one plane of existence to another carrying baggage from our lives, then I suppose there are nut-job ghosts, too. There's a happy thought.

Medieval times were brutal that's for sure. Instruments of torture and various horrific ways of executing people. I think we've become a little more civilised since then.
I'm not saying I believe for a minute all this malarkey about ghosts and spirits. I have no spiritual beliefs, so that's not surprising. But I just think an old building like a castle has character and much history, and would be a little creepy to walk around at night, even if it's just my mind inventing things
