Managers love to see nice looking idealistic "burndown" graphs, no matter how unrelated they are to actual real life.

So just a couple of days ago Space-X launched a rocket carrying a new super-secret spy satellite code named "Zuma."

Supposedly the satellite hasn't been heard from since.

Definitely what I'd call super-secret! :D :D

(Seriously, though, I'm not that gullible; I'm quite sure whoever owns Zuma wants people to think it is hopelessly lost...)

Space X said rocket performed as expected. Error was when satellite separated from rocket. Went down in the Indian Ocean.

This will be very interesting as Space X has done what NASA didn't. It can reuse rockets, and it isn't a gov't agency.

The impact of plastic waste on the planet is appalling. Here's an idea - let's put a very minimal tax on anything in a plastic container, and use that money to vastly improve plastic recycling.

I recycle everything possible. We must. Here is a little problem that was brought to my attention recently... Grabbed from the net: Although disposable diapers need to be exposed to oxygen and sunlight to decompose, they do not degrade well in a landfill. What's more, disposable diapers take about 500 years to decompose. The millions of tons of untreated waste added to landfills each year through plastic diapers can contaminate ground water.

Not good...

Interesting how some of these manufactured homes are put together... they put the carpet down first, then put the walls in.

Same thing happens in campers and RV's. Lay the frame. Drop the subfloor. Lay the flooring. Install the walls over that.

Columbo is the greatest tv detective series ever...

Its 25 minutes into the episode, we already know the murderer, the motive, and seen the murder take place.

So its, not a whodunit, or a howdunit.. or even a why did they do it?

We just have another hour and a half of Peter Falk being amazing, as we watch him try and work out everything we have just seen.

Genius

Can't tell if you are being facetious or not...

Meanwhile, I got me a new wireless access point, which gives me twice the throughput of the old one. Now all I have to do is figure out where and how to mount this bad boy... probably will still run a wire to my laptop, though.
