@LV426 I did take the stress/anxiety/depression quiz and my numbers were similar to yours ... but I didn't need the internet to tell me that. Although I am reassured that because it was the internet, it's probably wrong!

:) Good point, but then it doesn't really surprise me. Part of my normal condition is undue worrying. One day it'll kill me.

I wouldn't worry about it. ;) :p

Does this sounds familiar ? ....

You see potential problem that is currently NOT a problem but could be under 5,387 sets of circumstances. You worry that said problem can't be properly prevented due to the complexity of the possible (but non-existent) circumstances. Worry about the non-problem increases until you are physically affected. You worry that your health will lessen the chance of preventing the non-problem. You address your stress level with a remedy (either self or professionally prescribed). You worry that you even need a remedy to manage your health. Problem #2 arises out of worry about problem #1, which is also not a problem at the moment ...

I'm speaking from experience. :(

Extremely!
My current (self-prescribed) anxiety reduction method, is to create a positivity list. I'm trying to put my worries into perspective, based on all the *really* bad things that are happening somewhere in the world. I'm also highlighting all the good things in life.
It kind of works.

I seem to get jobs where I'm either bored senseless with nothing to do, or tearing my hair out with stress levels through the roof.
I'm sure I found a happy medium somewhere around 2011, but that didn't last long.

My current job definitely isn't boring; but the stress levels aren't too bad as yet.

I only have a few simple requirements - interesting work, no stress, agreeable colleagues, no politics, pleasant work environment, short commute to work, good pay.
Hmm, you see my problem :D

I've come to the conclusion, after experiencing a lot of software projects, that nobody actually knows what the hell they're doing! :D

The ones you need to worry about, is where they know exactly what they are doing... Especially when they know and you don't
