I notice some of you old timers have join dates of 2009!
There's must be a DB query someone can run to get the answer.

Either i joined in 2009... or in the future i'm going to hop into a time machine so I am going to will have joined then.

(One of the problems with Time travel, is that it makes the grammar involved very difficult.. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy skips lightly over this tangle of academic abstraction, pausing only to note that the term "Future Perfect" has been abandoned since it was discovered not to be.)

I'm a diehard Sox fan, and of the four Championship teams, this one is by far the most likeable and humble.

Then whoever is doing the edits on SportsCenter is picking bad clips. I really think professional athletes should stay away from microphones.

No one can argue the Sox had this one in the bag from the beginning. It was truly a magical season for them. Most of my original comment was aimed at this incessant need to shove microphones in a celebratory teams face at the moment of victory and expect them to say something inspirational or prophetic moments after they were staring down an opponent with the specific intention of making them lose.

I don't begrudge an over excited player saying something self-congratulatory. But, don't try and stop me from mocking them openly, in perpetuity. This is 'Merica after all. ;)

I know it's Halloween, and people dress up in scary costumes, and it's meant to be a bit of fun.
But is it just me, or would you say this is going a bit over the line? It's a girl with a real amputation, making it up as a bloody severed stump.
Personally, I wouldn't like my young daughter to be presented with this sight while trick or treating.

I think its awesome. Work with what you got. :p I went trick or treating when my son was 6 or 7 and an old Vietnam vet took off his prosthetic leg as part of his Haunted shtick. It was scary as hell, but the kids loved it.

I'm not into the whole spooky nonsense. Cobwebs and bed sheets, witches and black cats, vampires and OMFG IF I NEVER SEE ANOTHER ZOMBIE!!!!

The girl's costume is clever and I had to do a double take, but she's making it work. Personally she should have gone Borg. ;)
