What happen to the 1990s?
Well, as I recall, they ended without a bang.
I, like every other programmer or system administrator on Earth, spent months preparing for the 'Millennium date bug.'
We waited with bated breath as midnight 01/01/2000 approached...
Will everything crash? All programs stop working? Go out of business?
And then, at least in my case, NOTHING happened! My obsessive attention to rewriting date math and expanding date fields had worked!
BTW, I'm still annoyed when people refer to 2000 as the new millennium. That honor actually goes to 01/01/2001.
