When I arrived at Heathrow, from Hong Kong via Malaysia during this summer, I didn't get a chance to check it out or see how dishonest the baggage handlers were, as I didn't actually check any baggage. And when I came back to China, same route, only had clothes in a checked suitcase that I was bringing back with me, and nothing went missing...wow!!

Think the compensation for baggage delays was determined by the Warsaw Convention in 1929.

Since the 'budget' airlines started getting real fussy about carry on because they wanted you pay the extortionate rates to check bags, people have been getting a little inventive: best one I heard about was a guy who sewed huge pockets into his coat where he 'packed' everything for his trip - so far so meh, but what makes him cool is that during his trip to Spain he bought a paella pan .. and wore it as a necklace on the way back :D

I don't remember getting a cent last time my bags were lost .. Mind you, I was flying Aeroflot back in the Soviet days, so maybe they hadn't signed up :D

Actually I do have a special jacket(not a Mao jacket) that I wear when travelling, that has massive pockets. I just do NOT check anything on airlines if I can absolutely help it. I've not gone so far as inventing items of "jewellery" yet though. :D

Aeroflot...LOL...no Boeings here then....that would have been a Tupolev or something. Aeroflot still uses a Hammer & Sickle logo.

When I was about 7-8 I remember flying on holiday somewhere with mum and dad, and getting upset that the plane had propellers and not jets, and thinking it was old-fashioned.

Plagiarism is always a large problem with student's essays. But easy to spot though, no grammar mistakes.

Never been up in a light plane. Flew in a light piston engined helicopter once, incredibly noisy and felt like the thing was going to shake itself to bits. I've also been in a large, passenger carrying Sikorsky chopper, and that was a completely different experience.
 
Our cat fell out our 3rd story window tonight. I know it sounds funny lol but shes really hurt herself :(
Its only 5am and im staying awake with her until the vet opens at 9.
My guess is shes broke her hip or pelvis. Feel so helpless. Ma heart is bleeding for her...
 
That's terrible funky. I hope she will be fine. Did you call yours? This sounds like an emergency. The vet might be answering. I know I can call mine 24/7. G'luck pal.
