It goes back way before the sale of Motorola. Google doesn't particularly like China and China doesn't particularly like Google, and it's mainly political. Basically Google doesn't want to fully comply with Chinese internet laws. One thing they don't operate a search service here, there's only a limited range of services via google.cn. G+, Drive, Youtube and Documents are blocked completely unless using a VPN. And as you probably know, Androids here don't come with Google services, they usually have Baidu instead. On the other hand they do very well out of Admob, Adsense and Double Click AFAICT. They operate a full service in Hong Kong though.

BTW I see that Sony are now selling their Vaio PC business. Bet that'll go to a Chinese company.

I was just goofing EM. My spell check inserts stuff ....that sometimes doesnt make any sense....so if I dont spell things close....it can get silly
