We're supposed to be getting a Starbucks sometime this year. The first McDonald's opens next week, and we actually have two KFCs now...wow!!

I don't like this game much.

And not paying 12 yuan for iteither. No way.

I don't know what to expect from there. Even if I don't get this location, I'm going to record the interview and learn from it until I land a job with them. In the long run it will be worth it.

So all I got to do is be cool and laid back and calm. Answer the questions as if I were already a manager at McDonalds. Be sure to mention that as it may be what gives me the job.

I think the interview went well. Will was a nice guy. Reminded me of my camp counselor Brian. We had a good talk and he liked that I had previous experience at McDonalds.

I should get a call back today with if I got the job or not. Wish me luck.

Thanks, :)

I was honest during this interview... more honest than I was in any other interview because the person interviewing me was not a complete a$$**** like the guy at best buy. I knew walking out there at best buy I didn't get the job, and didn't want it either. Wouldn't want to work for that guy at all.

This owner... He's chill. Seems fun to work with. I just hope my honesty didn't prohibit me from getting the job.. :|

I did not get the job...

I don't know if I should keep applying to find a job or just give up and be a manager.
I am sorry to hear that you did not get the job.

My personal suggestion is that you take the management position at McDonald's, and continue looking for another job.

Having a management position listed on your resume is a good stepping stone to other positions.

My new concrete is done. Now all I have to do is remove the middle part, build a few walls and shape the hill.

Easy, right?

Talked to my floor manager the other day. Told her that the Store manager wants to make me a floor manager. She said I shouldn't take it, and it's not worth it. And she's the honest one that I like.

Also talked to another floor manager, asked if he liked his position as a manager. His exact words.

"Meh, ehh, umm. It's...... It'sssss... Okay...."

haha. Doesn't sound so sure of himself.

Here is what being a manager will look like.

I'll get more hours. Probably the cap that I will allow my manager to give me. 30 hours.

Managers start at a pay of $9.15, if not, I'll negotiate a better wage. It's about $0.75 better than what I get now, so that's not bad.

But the downsides...

I'm a manager, meaning I will be responsible to come in when scheduled, or I really get it bad from the other managers because they will have to take a 2nd shift, and they don't like that. So, if school gets in the way, there's no calling off.

I'll have to be the boss. And I don't really want to be the boss, but would like to so I can do my own thing. Like change the channel to Spongebob Squarepants on the TV, and blast some music and actually make the job fun.

Training is long, and I can't take a week off school to go to Oak Brook, or Chicago for training classes. Meaning that training is longer because I'll be at the store.

Then there's also the big bosses. Who annoy the hell out of me every time they come in, and I'll have to attend meetings with them, and pretend to like them, laugh at their horrible jokes.
Their all jerks. My supervisor, oh I can't even....

She was standing behind me criticizing everything that I was doing.

"Your working too slow"
"Take the money"
"Take the money faster"
"Take the order faster"
"Be friendly"
"Smile, because these people are paying your paycheck"

I was so close to just telling her to shut up and leave me alone. But as she's my bosses boss, lol
I figured that was not the right thing to do.

I'll have to pretend to like her, and she already doesn't like me because I didn't shave one day. lol

She started this big fuss, because I didn't shave...

If I can avoid her, and the big bosses, I'll be okay with being a manage.
