Spent hours talking to him today. Feeling so good. :)

Edit: because I don't like to triple post.

I guess I have something called Thalassophobia. There's sea monsters out there.

Christmas year round... Don't you get a Lil bored of that? Lol

Not really, we don't get like complete saturation of it around December time, like most western countries seem to do. It's much more diluted, and is in the background all year round, many stores and hotels have Santa Claus "Merry Christmas" decorations up all the time. I've heard Jingle Bells and things been played on China Airlines planes in June.

Christmas is a fairly recently imported thing, sort of along with hamburgers and french-fries really. It's not a public holiday.

The main holiday is New Year, what's when China Inc. closes its doors for business and everyone goes home for two weeks.

I gotta say I really enjoyed working the night shift. A lot more than during the day. Here's what I liked.

A lot less customers to deal with. In a fast paced work area like McDonalds, you can't provide excellent service with everyone you have to take care of. If the amount of customers were reduced you can ensure that they have good service. I like that we only get one customer every twenty or so minutes.

You don't have a manager nagging you. That's probably the best part and I told my manager that too. During the day managers be like do this do that, stay there, take to order. Literally the crew doesn't know what manager to take orders from and with all the customers you have to take care of its a stress. With overnight. My manager didn't ask me to do anything. Basically if you don't have a customer find something to clean. And I cleaned. It was the cleanest I have ever seen the store. I can spend 30-45 minutes cleaning the floors, mopping singing and listening to music without any interruptions from a customer. There's freedom. And that's nice. Oh and the hours are better. I'm a night owl anyway, and I get a solid 8-9 hours in a day. Better than the day Crew getting 5-6

I'm heading to bed now.

I talked to my store manager about me being a manager. She's going to contact HR about it.

I also told her to put me on the schedule for more overnights.

Looks like I won't be posting in the rant thread much more. Haha

Funny. Europe switched a week ago.

Because - http://www.timeanddate.com/laws/us/energypolicyact2005.html

Funnier still is the European history of DST - http://www.timeanddate.com/time/europe/daylight-saving-history.html

Got an extra hour to work today. Thanks daylight savings.

If you lived half of your year in New South Wales, you could time it so you'd never see daylight saving time again.

Daylight savings time, what's that when it's at home?

Home is where the heart is.

Some people never get enough time with that.

Some get entirely far too much.
