$100,000,000 fine. Wonder if this will mean anything for other "unlimited" plans.
I think where AT&T got in trouble was grandfathered plans sold as unlimited where they altered that to user more than x we slow you to y where x & y were abritrary. Verizon throttles too, but in a very fair way. They only slow down people that have been previously flagged as top 5% users and that user is on a tower that is under heavy load and only slows them down enough to provide the marketed throughput to other users of that tower. So the VZW plan is far less arbitrary.

Any other unlimited plans I know of have the caps spelled out beforehand, and would be unaffected.

Feeling nervous suuuuucks. Seriously this isn't good. I've got a date Friday and I'm getting hardly any sleep because of it

Don't be nervous, dates are delicious! (this is the only kind of date I have these days)

Yeah... You see the big 4 (also all of their MVNOs)here in the US are now making sure they are saying "Unlimited data, first 'X'gb at high speed" in their adverts.
If you need rules to be a decent person, chances are, you are not.
100% agree with that...it goes back to a hard learned personal philosophy that people can't be taught morality and good character. People can only be taught obedience out of fear of punishment. You're either a good person or you're not...it's in the wiring. Are there environmental factors for the two differences? Sure, to a degree but in the end individuals make a choice...just my 2¢.

I lol whenever I see somebody advising somebody to switch from regular soda to diet.

No. as a recovering soda addict, you need to switch to water or you're still screwing yourself over.
Very happy to be in a house that is pretty much soda free. Ginger ale when someone is sick, but we pretty much never have it in the house and when we do juice is the first choice.
