I have several password-management programs on computer and phone: LastPass, Pocket, and mSecure...

I just had a random thought, as this is the thread for it - but do these password management programs store all the passwords on a central server, so you can sync up all your devices? And how about *that* server as a target ripe for hacking. Hope they have rock solid security there ;)

Last pass only stores a binary blob on its servers... so even lastpass was hacked, they wouldn't be able to do anything useful with it.

Which they were.

While they only store encrypted passwords on their servers; with enough work, a bad guy can still get useful information out of them.

And that's why one should change the master passwords on your PW management programs frequently.
