Random Thought Thread

I just read this tragic story of a young lad who threw himself in front of train, after being persistently bullied, and isolated. I looked at the comments to it on Facebook, and there were over 3800 likes for this one:

"This is the thing, schools are useless at dealing with bullying, always have and always will. The bullies's parents should be charged. Their braindead behaviour starts somewhere. (Obviously the bullies as well)"

It's really an issue that is not taken seriously, and never has been. Why, given that 3800 people obviously agree that schools are useless in dealing with the problem? Why are kids allowed to get away with this systematic bullying? I don't agree that this is somehow 'character building'. It's psychologically damaging, and saps confidence. There's nothing good about such a situation.
The only solution to it, and the one we took, is to withdraw the victim from school and home educate.

Humanity is a scary thing.

It's a a extremely beautiful thing if it wants to be.

Angel, devil, redeemer, harbinger, enlightenment, torch bearer, believer, traitor, liar, sinner, Saint or all of it in one confusing ball of nothingness.

Life is horrible I got bullied a lot at school. It disgusting and can turn people into the Hitlers of the world.

Maybe it's partly to blame for the scary side I have in mind today.

Bullying is a part of why there can be mass murderers a other kind of people like this in society...

Sometimes pain is knowledge... sometimes it's just down right destructive...

I personally wonder if God exists if it is the biggest sadist of all... sometimes nobody asked to be a apart of this crazy world they just got thrown into it all its a sad world indeed...

I don't blame people for committing suicide... I have been there... it's such a scary place...

Pain sometimes is not good at all... sometimes there is "no gain"...

Some old sayings are a load of bull shit...

Slower than a turtle in molasses around here today. Figured with the Pixel announcement there'd be more folks chillin.

Well I went to bed about the time you posted this, but I'm happy to talk about anything you want. As for the Pixel, well it's a bit pricey. I'll stick with my Nexus5.

I've discovered the wonderful world of Android wearables. It opens up a whole new horizon of app development possibilities. Of course this means I do need to purchase a nice GPS capable smartwatch :D

I'm leaning towards the LG G5 for my next phone. It seems equivalent to the Galaxy S7 but cheaper. I don't understand why it has a slightly lower score with the reviewing sites.

...unless they are just that into Samsung...

^^^I can believe that^^^

There's some circumstantial evidence of the crime.

A new favorite turn of phrase, I only just heard.

A shiny nickel to the first of my friends who can tell me what luminary opined:
(And use the noodle, not the Google to figure it out.)

"She's a nice girl........But she's about as sharp as a sack of wet mice!":D

HINT: There is a voice that goes along with it; First one to post a video of their self performing the line "in character"......And I'll dig even deeper, bump it to a dime.;)

Very well done, and quickly.:(;)
Honorary mention, of course, to the "first place loser" who said WCF.:p

Unless you'll settle for five shiny Lincoln's, I'll have to go to the bank. I try not to keep large amounts of cash on hand.
And now I'm just grateful you didn't try to break the bank, make that selfie video performance.

LOL.

Meanwhile, attending the annual freak show (otherwise known as the big fair); we were sitting at a picnic table, eating our first round of grease, when I got up to throw away my trash.

I didn't realize that I was the only one sitting on that side of the table, and the whole thing started to tip over.
