Random Thought Thread

I had a strange dream last week about a nice Maglite that was rechargeable. It sets in a mounted charging cradle and mounts in an auto. It is old school and old tech but a great tool. (light or club) I had it mounted in a number of different trucks though the years but never mounted it in my 2014 Ram that was totaled a couple of years ago. In the dream, I was mounting it in my current truck. I very rarely remember dreams and I haven't seen or thought of the flashlight since 2014. I decided that I should take heed and find the light, put it back into working order, and mount it in my truck. I looked in all of the better places for the flashlight but couldn't find it. Today, while looking for something else, I found the flashlight behind and underneath all sorts of stuff in my 4' Liberty safe. I mounted it in my truck and need to purchase new rechargeable batteries for it.
Is that random?

Well I could not get here yesterday, had a bad server gate way error, Went out to a nearby local Chinese restaurant, and had a nice time with my cousin.
I acutally went out... yeah.

The ancient battery pack wouldn't stay charged so I ordered a new one from Amazon. It's amazing how much support and upgrades are still available for the Maglite. I could upgrade to a LED bulb and reflector lens, I found a number of vendors selling the battery pack, and the charging cradle can still be had. On reading if the old lights have a value and the answer is no. I guess every squad car in America had this Maglite mounted in it a couple of decades ago.

Yesterday I got my check and the right address was appearing:

Milo's Emporiumn 1240 Road 200 W they did put in
but it changes to 1241 Road 200 W it was the correct address.

- I got cake yesterday and I added to my already fixed up parfait, Basically keto cereal ontop of yogurt, I poilsed it off so much today.

I am really happy now. :)

Yeah it was about to expire anyway, it was worth the drive down to see an old person, takes out his entire family album and recites it to the Clerk, and she has this giant poker face on.

New cellphone case for my birthday yay.

I was thinking about raining on Valentine's Day and how it seems to rain on events... especially outdoor events. Years ago my wife and I ran an event in the Wichita River Festival for 19 years. Rain was always a major concern. It was a horseshoe tournament that was popular. Out of curiosity, I google searched for the tournament and actually found it mentioned.

Google: There was locally crafted art, food, and lots of events that simply don't exist anymore. There were the bathtub races, of course, but there were tons of events going on along the river and across many Wichita parks. A large horseshoe tournament comes to mind as a prime example - hundreds of people (of all ages) playing horseshoes together. Then there were even more people watching, and the festive atmosphere was palpable.

Considering the last time I had the tournament was over thirty years ago, it caught my attention. The festival committee decided they wanted all activities along the river caused me to drop the event. The nightmare of sitting up courts to play and abandon the stellar facility in place at a Wichita park was crazy.
