Help random updates appearing on google play

since google play update, there has been random malware/trojan updates that pop up. this morning i found an app written in Russia waiting to be updated. i looked at the review nobody knew what it was. i checked my apps and found another questinable update that coudln't be uninstalled.

does anyone have this problem and how to solve this?

1 of the update is called testfile made by sfukuda. i can't uninstall it nor find it on manage applications

maybe it's time to turn auto update completely off

As per my suggestion to you, here:-

I never have any of my app's set to automatically update for 2 reasons....

1. I like to know what an update includes and what changes it makes.

2. I also want to know if it requires any new permissions. This can help prevent viruses on your phone if you know what you are doing.

;)

yea i get it now.. it's just that like i said before it shows which app was updated successfuly, but it doen'st anymore and it updates malware

I've just had 'OJSC Mobile Telesystems ' appear in my app list. Never downloaded it and cant find a way to get rid of it. Looks like a virus and I think I'm going to have to do a factory reset (cheesed off) to get it off my phone:mad::mad::mad:

It showed up in mine too but I don't have automatic updates on so I am just ignoring it hoping Google finds a way to fix it. (That's if they even care about it!) There is a real app for this update but I can't figure out why it thinks it needs to install on all phones?

Hi Swordfish

I don't have automatic updates either, not a happy bunny at the moment

It's a cockup at Google's end; even if you try the app won't install as it's Russian-market only. The servers are confusing it with one of the installed apps.

the 2 questionable updates have removed themselves
but i'm still not getting update notification on all apps
