Help Randomly goes to homescreen while texting

Has anybody else had a similar problem? I have swiftkey installed, and I'm running the current firmware version of android. It's extremely annoying as I'll be mid keystroke when my phone decides to go to the home screen and then it registers my stroke and opens whatever app that letter would have landed on. Extremely frustrated and looking for solutions. Could I download a third party messenger app? Delete the connection optimizer (and how)? I'm at a loss, it seems nobody has posted about this issue yet so it could just be me.

I have this problem too, I use the default keyboard which is swipe. Maybe this is the problem.

I will bet you a dollar you are accidentally hitting the home key with some part of your fingers/thumbs/palm. I find myself hitting it when playing games that require wild swipes, very frustrating! I'm thinking about adding an option to the notification panel's control buttons to allow disabling the soft keys when you want to, in order to prevent this frustration.

And to the person saying we are hitting the home key, ill bet you a hundred dollars thats not the issue and id hope anyone ruled that and other possibilities like that. Out before posting. Just another reason i hate the android platforn. Isnt it about time they had soooo many of their bugs worked out? Especially when using their stock software.
