Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Other movies I'm picking up cheap as digital copies.

It came between VHS and more VHS. They were like giant two sided CD-Roms. I only knew one person two people that had them, and on owned a video rental store.
 
LOveWerks, back on the AF prowl... I hope that everyone's HUMP DAY was peaceful, and, wondrous to behold. I'm like a kid in a candy store... I finally got my software recording studio working correctly, and, hopefully, the manufacturer will throw me some Christmas candy, in light of what I've had to deal with this past year. Native 64-bit processed recording... nifty (of course, the signal path is dithered 24/32-bit, but, it will be crystalline). With unlimited tracks (audio, legacy MIDI, loops, samples..... ohhh, yeahhh...), FX, a mastering suite... I could go on and on. Maybe... just maybe... I'll write a song for the Forums. I'll sing about the great moderators, and cool folks that I've met here. With background vocals, too. Ooohh... I'm going to finally be able to be a true producer. With scoring software, I'll be able to have the music written, and printed.

I even have guitar amp plugins with this recording system, so I can go from squeaky clean, compressed electric guitar to Slash at the drop of a hat (or, rather, click of a mouse). I'm giddy. The instruments that came with this system are so awesome, controllable by my MIDI keyboard controller. Real strings, with no looped sustain... gigabyte-sized pianos, so you can strike a note, and hear its natural sustain - all the way to the end, just like on the Beatles White Album... I can't wait to get to work. Okay, enough about me, and my new stuff. Go on, everyone - post away, and, be well - LW
 
Best friend is going away for a few days on a Cruise or something. 10 whole days !!!


Anyway...

I almost got into a car accident today... I was driving, doing the speed limit, 35 driving probably 3 car length's behind a GMC Yukon or something, when out of nowhere he slams on his brakes because the truck in front of him was stopped. Stopped right in the middle of the road!!! No turning signal, no hazards, just stopped in the middle of the road. I slammed on my brakes harder than I ever had before, I was inches away from hitting the guy in front of me. Scared me half to death.

Then driving home, a UPS truck stopped in the middle of the road!!! The driveway could have fit 4-5 UPS trucks, why did he not just go into the drive way of the customer ??? It may be a regulation or something, but he could have caused something worse.

I guess I'm ranting about how idiots just stop in the middle of the road when there is NO stop sign, NO red light nothing. It's not okay.


Okay.. Don't like double posting so I have 2 more rants to add to the post.

1 I absolutely hate the new tapatalk update. I can't find any forum and they changed the looks of the other forums to all look alike. For now I think I'll just use chrome on my phone to use this android forums. Thankfully the new forums work a billion times better with mobile device.

Tjw new coworker who just started at McDonalds, it's was her first day. She was working like 2 hours maybe less, and she got fired. Haha, wow. She stole $100 from another coworker. She was caught on camera.

LaserDisc was a haphazard digital disc. Similar to a DVD but the disc was the size of a vinyl record. Many movies were so long they got interrupted midway forcing you to eject the disc and turn it over to its 'B-side' to continue. They also weren't HD nor had the video quality of a DVD. It flopped here. I first saw players in the late 80s until the very early 1990s before the just disappeared. You couldn't buy too many movies on the format outside of a handful of titles, including Roger Rabbit, Batman and Cool World. A few Disney movies also made the cut. I think LaserDisc might have begun in the late 70s but we didn't see them here until the last two years they existed.

No its not you I hate the update as well. I no longer use it, I just browse on Chrome now. I literally cant find how to browse forums on it, I cant find the random thought to vent my random thought. I think I might uninstall it, its that bad.

Thankfully AF upgraded to the new forums, because the last VBullitin forums was horrible with mobile device. Thanks Developers!!!

Low tech, cheap and works, patents expired, who needs DVD or Blu-ray Disc?

And it will play on one of these things, Philips CD-i console from 1991.

They originally released movies on Video CD, but was like LaserDisc had to change sides half way through.

The new Tapatalk has a material design which I like, but browse is missing completely. It has nothing to do with Xenforo. The option is omitted completely by the developer. Everything else works fine. I like the UI too much to downgrade as it keeps in line with Google's new look

The specific version that lost browse is 4.10

Yes! So how do I find the specific sub forum I want? I want to get to the moto g forum, but I can't making the app utterly useless to me.

And when I do post, I get an error, however the post is still posted even with the error message.

Another problem is I can't insert an image. Tried both on wifi and data. Image doesn't load.

Everything is too big with the update, so with a lot of sub forums like we have, it's hard and time consuming to find the right forum. I just don't like the update at all.
 
Splashed hot grease up the inside of my forearm. A lot of burns and a lot of pain. Thankfully, none are serious. Just enough to make me feel like a heal.:mad:
 
As soon as I get to work, they send me on break. I tell them I just ate and I don't want to eat. So I ask if I can get food when I go home... She says, no its against the rules.

That's not fair. If I don't get food on my break, why can't I get it when I go home? 1 meal per work day sounds fair.

I don't care what she says. I'm going to get me a hot chocolate when I leave. This food, need to quit it anyway.
 
Hello, all. We finally got the phone back, and AS YOU ASTUTE MINDS here at the 'Rant' already know: Tapatalk sux... I tried to log in with my correct information, and it wouldn't even let me in... it informed me that I had logged in incorrectly, and that I'd have to wait for one minute before trying again. It was promptly uninstalled. So, I'm posting here using Chrome. I hope that everyone had a peaceful weekend, and that if you must use your smartphone to post here, if it's small like mine - turn it sideways, and squint like hell... LW :)

Can see why hair coverings, like nets and hats are mandatory in the food industry. Don't wish to find them in my dumplings, steamed buns or Big Macs.
