I'd agree with "good riddance" if I didn't know 2017 was going to be worse. (being the beginning of the end of American democracy and all)
Why "Year Zero"?The prospect of Year Zero* doesn't thrill me either.
*Which originally was going to be called 2017
You need a new plan, Sir. Data allotment is a thing of the past everywhere else since everyone is pushing Unlimited plans. [emoji41]I am trying really hard not to lose it... My daughter managed to go 4GB over our allotted amount I two weeks.
That's $90 in overage charges and we still have a well left in the period...
Carrier unlimited plans, usually have some limits though, like throttling when more than a certain limit is reached, or the unlimited is limited to select sites and services only. Like I have unlimited music streaming with Xiaomi from my carrier, but if I use another music service that counts as metered cellular data. You need a new plan, Sir. I went into settings-apps and cut off most of Google's background data and many perms, like locations and other unnecessary accesses. In return, my data consumption has been cut by at least a third & my battery lasts me all day again. A lot of Google's apps have way more perms than is reasonable and other apps too, like Messenger.. IMO [emoji41]I have looked at changing from my present Verizon 4 gB plan to an unlimited plan...
the only reason we really need to use data is because my wife is in the hospital and my daughter and I keep each other up todate with long MMS messages.
we trade shifts with her, 12 on, 12 off, and been doing that since August.....
I had 1 gB carried over from last month unused. should have been good to go for this month.
we are now in day 8 of the new cycle and I see the icon shows 59% remaining out of 5.08 gB
that is a hard hit.... i am going to definitely shut down on sending pictures....
hmmmm, now that I mention that, i am the guilty party, because the wife's doctor wanted to see how her surgery was healing, and I have been sending him update photos...
gonna have to watch it tight the rest of the month.
In retrospect, I think the real f'up was when I tried to send him a short video....
Verizon took it, and sent it, but his phone did not accept it.
That is the last time I ever send a video on MMS, it will be WiFi from now on.
