Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Just a few for today:

-Sideways peace sign
-Sideways peace sign with duckface
-Guys with their pants halfway down their ass
-Girls in jeans so tight the button looks like it is about to fly across the room
-Suburban kids talking street
-AT&T
-The phrase "just sayin" being WAY overused.
-The word "really" used with 5 question marks to represent "Are you kidding me?" being WAY overused
-Baseball hats worn to the side
-Baseball hats with a brim so straight you could balance a drink on it.
-3 inch exhaust on rusted and/or primer'd civics and corollas just for the noise.
-Duff Goldman
-Texting and driving!

I guess u wuldn't like the peace duck tattoo that shows wen i b walkin down da streetz...no drivin my civic since da exhaust fell off...n i like my flatbill wearin it to da side n poppin my collar...

Ah, I know that Civic! With the Monster decal in the back window? You can always hear it coming at a range of about a mile. Boom-diddy-boom. And lots of rattle due to a stereo worth three times as much as the car itself being poorly installed.

Actually, I like the sound of those exhausts. Reminds me of the Abarth system from years ago.

I hate Harleys that sound like they are going to die in front of you at a light!
 
I can't stand when people decide that it is fun to talk to the man on a scooter at a gas station about scooters...

Also when people think it is cool or funny to try to hit the man on a scooter with thing thrown out of cars...
 
Directv grinds my gears. For the second time in what? a year, they've cancelled channels on me. Last time, it didn't actually end up happening... but this time, instead of being able to watch Fox, I was able to watch an alert for Directv saying that it was fox who no longer let them show the channel.

If this is anything like last time (FX), and I'm guessing it is, it's because Directv was getting a very discounted rate (with FX they were paying like, 1/5 of what other providers pay), and that discount expired. So Directv's claim is that FX (or likely fox in this case) is raising the price... which isn't quite an accurate way of stating it. They are not paying Price * 5, they are just paying Price. Instead of Price/5

If I could go back in time, I'd punch myself in the eye for even thinking about switching away from Dish.

Dish, if you are still out there, please forgive me. I hope we can still be friends.

Am I the only one who still prefers the old fashioned TV with just the channel numbers and nothing else? No Netflix, channel guide, yada yada. My parents have all that crap on their TV downstairs but upstairs in my room its nothing but the actual channels themselves. I do have a channel guide app on my phone, which I still prefer over the TV's guide because its easier to scroll and you can set reminders :)
 
We are OTA, and can see Denver's KWGN2 telling people to protest to Directv. 2 has mostly junk programming and soaps for younger people. Haven't seen the local Fox complaining yet. Local does carry sports.

It's not just Fox, Tribune Broadcasting is also involved. Tribune is in bankruptcy. KWGN is/was Tribune.

Dealing with a three month old with a tummy ache. The only way to keep your eardrums intact is to wear noise canceling headphones.
 
I can't stand when people spam the rant thread with links to their other threads...:p;)

Good luck with that Mada. Hope you can get it straight they should have some sort of way to figure out you don't have the phone
