Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I was one of the winners of Phandroid Google IO contest. It's been two months since I won and have not received the Nexus 7 or Nexus Q yet. I know the guys at Phandroid are super busy and I am naturally impatient but yeah.....

Hmm... that's weird. I think it took me about 8 months on here before I did my first friend. Though, it probably took me a month or so before I used the "Thank" button. (I'm slow - still haven't used the 'Like' feature yet :eek:)

How about when somebody installs a bunch of crap apps (bloat) and then blames the ROM for the phone running slow... Or when they install a "battery saver", don't read about it, then say the ROM broke their 3g :rolleyes:

I guess it's more when people just don't look into what an app actually does....

Or when they don't read the permissions and wonder why things start acting up... yeah, you installed a sound board that is spamming emails? What permissions did it have? Oh, you didn't check? Okay, umm... was it maybe this one that has a one star rating on the Play store? OH! It was? :D

That's not something that bothers me too much anymore, but it really used to ;)

I try to remember that not everyone is as experienced with these things... everyone's in a different place.

:rofl: Yeah, or if you *had* interrupted her, she'd have scolded you for that. Lose/Lose situation there.

I seem to remember complaining about facebook earlier this week, but damn. I'm sure my friends with their smartphones are not just avoiding me and my emails, but it's odd how they always post things on facebook and my emails go unanswered. And my text messages. o_O

And people wonder why I'm anti-social.
 
Hah, I don't know. I find twitter to be so much better than facebook... for the simple reason that I can get a boat load of news from all over. That being said, I have yet to 'tweet' even once. :/

Eh... it's all too stressful for me. Closing tabs. :)

Warning to men: discussion of feminine products.

The makers of Always maxi-pads really ought to find some industrial or vehicular application for that super-adhesive they're using. Not the best choice for a paper-based product, though. I do get tired of the pad tearing apart when I'm attempting to remove it, leaving adhesive and maybe some filling still adhered to my underwear, with bits of icked filling coming loose and creating an obnoxious cleanup in the bathroom.

Now My Rant: we MENZ 'spoze to be the STRONGER 'sects' (spelling/ but you get the "sound"), ...then when we MENFOLK catch the sniffles or if we had to suffer 'the abovementioned..
