Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I'm guessing there, their and they're also gets ya? ;)

I know that feeling. Sometimes I also want to say "Why do you think you need a comma there!?"

(almost said "comma they're" just for you guys ;))

My issue revolves around my social ineptitude. When meeting new people or seeing someone from my past after a long hiatus - I find myself very awkward. I can only imagine how they view me. :eek:

At nights my mind wanders to people I used to know, and chances I never took. I'm not sure if it's quite regret, I mean, all the things you do, and don't do add up to create who you are.

I'm sure these thoughts will ease by the time I try to sleep right? :rolleyes:

What grinds my gears is people who code their text black... I mean it's ALREADY black on the webpage. I use GREEN tapatalk because green shows up on black. My background is black (ish)

Here... You tell me... Can YOU read this...

I love it when someone uses Blackletter in all caps.

Damn shopping centers that you can't exit. Right turn for one major road is by traffic signal. You don't get a chance. Everyone and his uncle wants to turn left, so left turn lane onto another major road is stacked up almost the whole length of the parking lot.
Usually one jerk straddling both lanes since he/she can't make up their mind which lane, they are eating, or talking and texting.

I wasn't brought up with this "hooray for me and to hell with you" attitude. Seems like there are more and more of this kind around lately.

Some planner had their head you know where. What if the parking lot needs emergency evacuation fast? Takes forever for authorities to get in gear.

Well, you know, I uhm, you know, know exactly, you know, whatchoo, you know, trying to, you know, say. I mean, you know, some people, you know, got the, you know, habit of saying, you know, "you know" too many times! "You know" what mean? N:D
 
I can't help but hear every "um" and "like" in people's speech as though those "words" were spoken louder than the rest. They hit my ears like fingernails on a chalkboard. I can forgive one, but when an individual mindlessly repeats meaningless noises in the middle of their "oration", I can see their brain shrinking.
I don't know about valley girls, but dim-wittedness has far from disappeared.

Like, like Yeahhh! That TOTALLY reminds me of my ,..like,..rant? ! ! Like whatever happened to the eighties, man! Like whatever happened to the Righteous-Encino Man? Like, how did "The Bieber" get to be more rad than, like, PAULY!

(and another rant: people whose responds where the last word in their sentence? end with an uplift tone "like" a question? Like, instead of an answer? !)

Worst day of my life. Did not live up to my dad's expectations, apologized for existing, got fired from my job. Supervisor was an idiot, filled out more applications, Apologized more for not spending more than an hour and a half stripping wallpaper. He yelled at me for not working more. I blew up in his face and immediately went up to my room to contemplate suicide, decided against suicide. End of rant. I apologize for poor grammar, but I am pissed off right now and do not want a grammar Nazi jumping down my throat. Thank you and have a crappy day.
