Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

If you're searching for a credit union and live in an area serviced by InTouch Credit Union, avoid them like the plague. I received 2 FINAL notices in the mail today that they are increasing my balance by $2000 and jacking up my payments by $150. Apparently they have decided that I have not had insurance on the car for several months now(then I guess Allstate had better refund my outrageous premiums).

I've provided plenty of evidence that I have an active insurance policy. They pulled this same BS when I first took out the loan. After providing proof of income they authorized the loan and then started badgering me a few weeks later for additional pay stubs(which I provided). Then they wanted a letter from my employer(which was provided). Then they wanted another letter from my employer. At that point I asked them if the loan was pending or approved. They said approved so I told the guy to fudge off(not censored though). I think I've had a target on my back ever since.

Sounds like they want to be in touch with your fudge maker.

We have diesel and petrol generators, both big and small.

Power is off for the day, can still get money from an ATM.

I'm at about 47% oil life in my Fusion as of a few days ago. I've got about 3k on this oil change IIRC. I'd have to look at my receipts to remember where I was when I last had it done. Manual on this car recommends 7k between changes. THat's a much higher interval than the 3K I've done in the past. I'm also more hesitant now because I'm not in a situation where I can do my own changes, and I dislike paying others to do it.

The new oil change intervals can be confusing. My Ram just went 8500 miles. The owners manual says basically "don't bother until it's below 15%" as it is all monitored and computerized for the health of the oil (with the caveat to never go past 10k or 12 months). That is unlike my Camry, which just had an idiot light that started blinking at 4500 miles since it was reset and went solid after you passed 5k. Plus, all the maintenance is set up around oil changes. This was my first oil change since crossing 20k so they did the 20k maintenance at the same time. I like the concept, especially for a truck. If I'm driving off road or pushing snow, then I need more frequent oil changes. If I'm communting back and forth to work, less frequent.

To keep in relation to the thread title, it bugs the hell out of me that the Chrysler dealership still puts a sticker on the windshield for 3k miles.
