Well i've just gone for it!

The boot animation is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

As for the ROM itself it seems excellent.
Not a big fan of the big green/red circles for options buttons, but this could be altered by a different theme.

Comes with Siyah 2.1 rc3 by default. I will put the final 2.1.1 on now.

I shall keep you posted as I dig deeper...........

Trying to update to market 3.3.11 (comes with 3.2) and having to fiddle the apk. Looks like I've got problems with su on this build. I cant seem to write anything to the /system folder, and su itself cannot update its binary (which also tries to write to /system)

That's 'cos just as much 'bloat' has been added as was removed. It's got everything bar the kitchen sink in there.

wow. looks very bling, very busy, and LOTS going on. is it as smooth/quick as dlev or CRR HD??

yes its very smooth syd. certainly on a par with Dlev/CheckROM

I'm going back to Dlev now, as I've now given up on it for the time being. Its doing something strange with superuser and i just cant get it to update su binary and write to /system properly. I even tried rerooting with cf-root, but still couldnt get it to work correctly.

its a shame, as it did look extremely good.
its also a pity i cant get the boot animation to work on DlevROM, as it was very nice indeed.
