Root RDP doesnt work on Rooted Droid X

Hello Folks
New User here.

Have just rooted my droid x fer chits-n-giggles.
LOVE IT!
Have this awsome RDP program (RDP Lite by Yongtao Wang) that I use for my job. - a MUST for my job.
Now since Ive rooted - the app returns with a "connection reset by peer".
Searching thru your forums (which are very helpful btw) I've learned that my PC (with XP OS) is what is denying the connection because of the rooting.
Something about a certificate ID or sumthing that has been removed from my Droid since rooting.

So...

Im asking / searching for either a way to UNROOT my Droid x..

or

is there a Root / Unroot app that will allow me to go back n forth with the rooting? A toggle switch so-to-speak.

Since I am not a PC geek - but I do know enough to get myself in trouble - if my terminology isnt correct, please email me a copy of Geek Terms fer Dummies.. lol
(please make it the Redneck vershun with plenty of pictures and arrows)

Thanx

rooting should do anything to your phone (ie removing certificates)
all it should do is give you administrator access to be able to use certain parts of the phone

i would imagine that its certainly possible for enterprise level software to do a "root check" and deny access because of it

Thanks for the replys guys!

After digging deeper into this - and killing a 12 pack in the process....
I discovered it wasnt my Droid at all - I.E. - VoidedSaint was correct.
Rooting only allows certain permissions.

The end result is - something was severely f*kt with my OS / HDD.
I had to wipe and start over.
and TA-DA! - RDP now works.

Thanks for the interest.

Gonzo
