Reading/Writing SDHC Cards

Tech moron here.

I keep all my MP3 files on the Note's SD card. Is there a better way to read/write on it without removing it? Every time I have to add mp3 files, I have to shut down the phone as the battery must be removed to get to the SD card. Neither have I found a way to read its contents on the phone.

Connect to PC/Mac with USB cable and drag n drop?

That's what I thought too but I can't seem to find the option to read or write on the card. The PC only reads the internal memory by default.

I'm stumped.

Should show both (presuming you are on Gingerbread?).

Try connecting the device with USB debugging on and also off and install drivers from first post here: [STOCK ROMS] N7000 All stock ROMs + install + Root guide All at 1place,Latest ICS LP9 - xda-developers

Should see both after that.

there should be "phone" and "card" if you connect through MTP

or two new directories if you connect using USB connect options in your Note

Before connecting again to the PC, I unmounted and mounted the card. For some reason, it now works.
