Of course you can change to miles. Go into Glob preferences and in "Info Bar" parameters select "Miles" in "Kilometers or Miles" option.

The TTS plugin will use this value. If it's not working tell me and I'll have a deeper look in the code to see what's wrong with this.

"Auto Launch" is an other Plug-In for for Glob which is totally different from the TTS Plug-In.

I developed several plug-ins for glob. As I can see you're a bit confused here is a little summary because I think you're not the only one.

Search on the market with key "monthorin" (my name) and you'll find Glob and the other plug-ins.

- Auto Launch plug-in will start and stop Glob when plugging or unplugging your phone to the car charger.
- TTS Plug-in gives alerts using a voice and not a MP3 or standard "bip bip" sound
- LiveView Plug-in tu use Sony bluetooth remote control LiveView to notify and see alert on this lovely little device.

So now back to your question.
The "plugins not found" message when selecting "Auto Launch" in advanced section is because you didn't install the "Auto Launch" plug-in.
If you want to enable TTS go to "Sounds" section and select "TTS" in "Sounds for alerts"

Thank you, I have changed from kilo to miles and still the alart still coming in sayin kilo instead of miles...I will turn my fone off and back on and see if this will reset the phone

Ok I'll have a look today to see what's wrong. I think I will deliver an update of TTS plug-in next week anyway.

1) I have never seen collaborative traffic work. Even though it says there are 500+ users around me, if I turn on collaborative only, i see no traffic generated by other users. I would expect to at least see a few blips on the road when zoomed out.

2) Is there a way to specify whether something is a speed trap, speed camera, or red light camera? I see only the one button in lower right marked "50".

3) What is the meaning of the number "50" on the button?

"50" is really "Five -Oh", as in the police. You use that button to report a speed trap. The other button is for other things causing a delay like road construction or an accident.

I too have not seen collaborative traffic work. There is never any other people's tracks even while I know there are some other users in my area by looking at the real time traffic users on the web site.

I'd be curious to know what the number of users represents too. Is it the number of users within a set distance or the total number of users everywhere?

    • Gesture detection is less sensitive.

As this software is free it's success only depends on comments on the market. Can you rate and comment my app on the market?

I had a look to my code and I don't see any reason why it's not saying "Miles".
Did you try from the "Test" option in TTS plug-in preferences or did the application warned you while driving and said Mile instead of Kilo?

Where are you so I can check if I have a bug in your area?
The number like 500+ is at 500 km arround you for sure. I'm working on a filter to be able to chose lower values.

From the Test option in TTS plug-in and since I installed the plugin in I have yet to see the application talk while driving...also is it possible for this apps to trap police car?

Ok so it's "normal" that the test from the preference is not saying miles but it will while driving.

Of course this app will warn you while approaching police trap if other users declared it's presence using the "50" icon ;-)

Did you install Glob - Traffic & Radar 1.6+or only the TTS plug-in?

You need the two applications installed then launch Glob and you'll see the two icons on the bottom of the screen.

- Tap Triangle to notify other users for accidents.
- Tap 50 sign to notify speed traps or police presence.

Once it's done any other user having my application will be aware ;-)
 
I typed in both tap triangle and tap 50 and nothing showed for them in the market? please what is the phrase to find these apps?

    • "Traffic Info layer" setting deleted. The layer is now saved from "Show/Hide" menu
