Good question Scotty, I ran across this app the other day. It does a whole lot more than just move apps. One thing it does do is when I download an app it will tell me if I can move it to sd card. I don't think it patitions the card nor do I think it moves them permintly to the card because when I did the fresh install I had to move them again.

froyo and gingerbread roms have a feature that let you move apps to the sd card built in.

just go to settings/applications/manage apps then go to each app youd like to move,and it will have an option "move to sd card". you just cannot put widgets and things on your homescreen on the sd card. those must remain in memory.

where would i go about finding a froyo rom that will work on my droid eris

I recommend XTRSense 5.01. Then partition the SD card and run the script for Apps2SD. All of the directions are in this forum. Easy to do.

The froyo ROMs aren't being supported as much as they once were now that gingerbread is here, but you can find them all in the link above.

I'm running Link2SD to move apps to SD. I thought it might be easier than moving my widget apps back to internal memory. It is working but I'm not sure I like it.

they all work fine,i ran celb 4.3 when i was on froyo. froshedyo,tazzfroyo,and nonsensikal are all good,as well.
