Rebate

Received 7/20 now at 58%. Looks like it's taking a full 2 months. The government must be processing them! :)

I mailed it in on June 11 as well - also got mine today. Rebates are a pain, but this is my fourth with Sprint and I must say that I have always got a check after about 8 weeks without prodding customer service.

Got mine today. Whew! YES!!! :D

Three years ago with my last Treo phone(s) it took over nine months of no check appearing before I finally convinced them over the phone to credit the account. Who knows what happened to the rebate, but it never showed up. Thank goodness that nonsense didn't happen this time.

Bought on launch day, rebate went in the mail the next day, got my rebate check in the mail this past wednesday.

Consider yourselves luckey.

Sprint has screwed me out of my last rebate. Sprint either starts doing the pricing/rebate at time of sale or I pick up from another retailer.

I'll get my $100 out of them in other ways...but that's not the point.

Lucky as in I filled out the form correctly and put it in the mail before the due date? OK.

I really hate rebates with a passion. I really wish they would just get rid of them and give us the savings right away. Manufacturers love rebates, because of the cut off dates and alot of people don't send them in time. This is why I went to Radio Shack to buy my EVO and not the Sprint store.

Rebate received 06-29-2010. Currently showing 100% Rebate mailed.
Expected delivery on or before 08-21-2010.

Don't be so 'Holyer than thou' in your attitude. Yes, I filled out the form correctly and sent it in 2 days after getting the phone 6/4. Sprint's rebate processor came up with 3 different excuses to not allow the rebate, each one was wrong and required that I jump through hoops to prove it. The third try, I spent hours on the phone with Sprint and the rebate processing group and they talked in circles comming up with all sorts of new 'requirements' not noted on the rebate terms. (my reciept shows I paid $300 for the phone rather than 450 less the 150 sprint kickback as Western Talk had to manually generate reciepts on release day as thier computer systems were all out of sorts.) I made the 'mistake' of purchasing from a Western Talk owned sprint store front who messed up the account, the plan and now my rebate. The plan and the account were easy enough to correct through executive services, the rebate I will never get but they made other non cash concessions and ended up resulting in my wife getting an EVO last weekend (through Best Buy at SPRINT's recomendation).

The rebate scam and the outside processing company is set up with one goal in mind, to prevent the maximum number of sales from ever seeing the rebate. Glad you got yours. I did in the past although none were problem free. But I got bit this time. It will not happen again. I don't do computer hardware rebates either unless the pricing before rebate is already good on its own, then will send in the rebate and get some of them if they ever show up as a bonus. Will never 'count' on one again.

One Sprint executive did let slip an interesting piece of info though. They only intend to use the mail in rebates for new release, high demad phones. The epic will have one for a while. Mainstream product will have 'instant' rebates available. Sprint is doing this to new release, high demand phones BECAUSE THEY CAN as it serves to increase profits. Greater than a quarter of phones sold with a mail in rebate are never paid for various reasons. Many are never sent in.
