They're blowing smoke up your *ss, HTC has nothing to do with how the carrier pushes out the ota, they just wrote the damn thing. Virgin is actually trying to infer that htc has access to their servers and towers?
They told my the same thing, call HTC. Two weeks later, three phone swapps with Radio Shack, 12+ hours documented on the phone with HTC / Virgin and I still do not have the update. From what I am told Virgin decided they did not want to pay to keep hosting this update file or the bandwidth it took to continue pushing it out to the users so they discounted the phone and stopped pushing the update.
Third NEW STOCK, untouched Virgin HTC EVO V 4G from a retailer that will not update and HTC and/or Virgin refuse to do a thing about it other then tell me to root and do it myself.
They lied about Gorilla Glass too, HTC told Mr it was made by the company that makes it so they were legally able to market it that way, but its NOT the "normal" gorilla glass, its a cheep alternative (per HTC level 2).
Oh and per HTC if you root and a hardware button falls off its your fault for unauthorized software. This phone is a POS, I am not losing my warranty.
See this username on XDA, lol I think I know how to root/rom an android device. I left Verizon after 12+ years on contract to come to this garbage, if HTC thinks I am going to fix their garbage phones myself they should get their head checked.
Returning this crap and will take VM to small claims court if they don't honor the refund. Two weeks ago they said they would, now of course they are pretending they did not say that and no notes on the account. Liars. So sick of the bs.
