Help Receiving texts twice?

Does anyone have an explanation for me receiving texts twice? Sometimes I will get the same text 4 or 5 times its preety annoying.
 
Could be signal or check to see how many times the sender sent it sometimes if you have low signal or between cell towers that can do it just try *228.

That's what I thought. Till I went downtown had full 4g signal still did it and it does it with every text I've asked sender I have no idea what it could be
 
How about go to manage apps go to the mms app and wipe data and cache and see if that works u won't loose your text messages but you will reset the app
 
With Metro updating its network here recently, several people are having this issue.

It will go away ;)
 
this usually happens when the person that send you the txt gets a error notice saying sending fail and they hit retry sending so in relaity when it says sending fail it actually already trying to send so no reason to hit retry.
 
I get double texts all the time from iphone users. Butt now I'm getting them from all users cause of the network. It'll stop.
