Help recorder for calls

I want a recorder that I can record calls I make to companies, for example insurance companies who promise me they won't auto renew the policy, then a year later, guess what....
Ideally I'd like it easy to kick in after pressing 1,1,3,2,5 then waiting in the queue, so I don't have to record a load of lift music.

Is there one for ics?
Searching throws up ones where you have to be on speaker or other end is very quiet etc.

You can do this with Google Voice. You need to be careful though as there are state and federal laws against recording calls:

Recording calls - Google Voice Help

There are different laws that apply to call recording, so check your current state and Federal laws before using this feature. Some states require both parties to consent to any recorded conversation, while other states require one party to consent to the recording.

But that's only when using google voice to make the call. Also it announces its recording.
no like.

I live in Texas where its legal to record without notifying the other party. So I'd prefer an app that doesn't notify.

There's an app I'm using from the google play market app store call recorder by clever mobile. Its free.

It requires root, CallRecorder by Skvalex and AlsaMixer. It might also require a custom kernel, like Franco's, but I'm not sure, the description is not clear. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder

I tried several freebies that record from the mic a long time ago and none of them worked well. The audio was barely distinguishable unless on speakerphone along with other glitches. On a whim, I just tried the above app and it works perfectly. I'm running a rooted gnex and on Franco Milestone 4 kernel. I'm using the trial apk from xda (link in market app) and although the app seems flawless, I doubt I'll buy it. Just don't have a major need for it right now but nice to know its an option for the future.
