Root Red Exclamation Mark Revolutionary Root

I accidentally skipped a step when rooting my EVO! and now on my screen there is a picture of the HTC hero I think with a red exclamation mark in a triangle.
can someone please tell me how to fix this?
 
I would recommend changing the thread title to something more relevant.. some folks simply ignore threads with generic titles.
 
If running revolutionary does not work , let us know. There is a way to get a recovery without revolutionary.
 
I thought my phone was stuck at the red exclamation picture. I simply rebooted the phone and was able to run the Revolutionary tool again. Thanks ocnbrze, for the write-up in the other thread!
 
I'm losing it folks. I rooted my evo 4g, now it's driving me nuts. I got a new refurb one from Sprint and I can't get my revolutionary beta key to work. (To root the new one, so I can do a titanium or some other back up) I've tried several workarounds, restarts, wipes, etc. I'm cutting and pasting, typing, everything, but the key doesn't work. Can't someone help me? I haven't switched phones over, and come Monday, I won't have time to try again all week. This is really it for me. Does the new one have to be activated to be recognized? (No, wait, it found the device; at least before.)
I'm a little fried, and I don't REALLY know enough about the process to really troubleshoot.

Okay, I took a deep breath, and while I was reading the cmd prompt screen I noticed that the serial number on the screen was different. the one I was typing was HTC blah blah blah, but the one on the screen was HT (no C) blah blah blah. I reopened revolutionary.io, typed the (non C) serial number and got a different beta key. that one worked. go figure.
why would I have to put in the serial number that isn't on the back of my phone? (the rest of the digits were the same, just one was HTC and one was HT?)

i have no experience with revolutionary. i have not heard of that difference, but i'm glad you were able to figure it out. hopefully everything else went well so that you are now rooted. anf if you are, go and get your flash on.:D
