Help Reducing Internal Memory

Got my New Xperia X8...it was 170 mb internal memory(Yes not 128 mb :D).I downloaded Angry birds twice(Downloaded 100% and nothing shows afterwards) n it didnt install..third time it installed...so total it took 18x3 mb for one game..Similar thing happened with some other apps too..and so by installing 10 or so apps internal memory went down to 10 mb...so i thought maybe i had done something wrong..so i did Factory Reset..Internal Memory now reduced to 160 mb...same thing happened again(the whole above process repeated) now internal memory is 155 mb..Why is the Memory Decreasing??
I havent touched "Backup and Restore" or any other apps in the phone except for Google apps and Crazy Penguin.
Please help what is wrong with my phone and also why downloading 2-3 times before installing?

try checking your apps..
go to settings > applications > manage apps > press the left button > select filter > all apps.. right here you can click on any app and clear its cache.. i cleared my facebook cache and saver 12mb! cache some other apps and clear them too..

Hi,

Just Root your phone and install Link2SD and transfer all your apps to SD Card. That will solve all your memory problems.

Did that already before..just got 1 mb free...

i m just a bit scared of rooting my phone as i have bought it new..my father wont buy me another one if i do anything wrong with it..:(
 
rooting looks 'scary' at first, but it is not.. i did it with my 2 week old X8 :)
So far so good.. And even transferred my apps to SD..
