The battery calibration app just deleted your battery stats. Google engineers have said doing so doesn't actually improve battery life at all.

This method seems to fool the phone into charging the battery to true capacity.

I've been noticing that my Esteem has been having horrible battery life. It'll die in about 6 hours considering its not being used as its not activated. I tried it on 2 different ROMs and I still get the same results. Anyone know what the problem can be?

I agree with the guy above me, I've tried a couple different things. With turning off 4g and using a conservative setting with the CPU and setting the max at 921mhz I can only get around 6 hours maximum. I've just learned to deal with it. I did notice my phone isn't sleeping all the time when the screens off though. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

this means you have some apps in the background running keeping your phone from going into full sleep mode....remove some apps that you don't really need and try to use a application killer app i use app killer pro and keep it on crazy kill kills app every 5 mins my sleep time when from bad to good after using this app.

well i bought a extended battery before using this app i didn't get good like...did a full charge and ran this app i get over 24 hours now...i used to get like 6 hours give or take...my opinion it did some good...but all phones are different...

ok so i tried it once and it went back to 96%. charged it full and tried it againg and went down to 64%!!! is that a good or bad thing?

lol the 95 could have been a fluke.. if it took that long for the charge from 64 than i'd say you did it right the second time ;) enjoy your extra battery life!! thank zepplinrocks!!

Just tried this, but as stated earlier, i had to wipe my stats first in cwm for it to work correctly . After following the instructions my batt dropped to 59%! Will repost my findings later today.

I didn't notice a change while I was using it, i think the battery savings are most noticeable while the screen is off. I was on my phone heavy yesterday, tons of 4g usage, wifi, texting, and a few calls, still had 30% after 8 hours so i think that counts for something.

i been having problems with this method.. every time i do this, my phone doesn't want to charge to 100%.. its always at 98 or 96 and it wont go up to 100, and when it does charge to 100 then i unplug the phone from the charger and it goes back to 98??

Observation - I made two attempts 5 days apart. Both times I pulled the battery within a couple of seconds of the LG Logo. Both times I replaced the battery as instructed the phone would not juice up, I was bummed. I find that little vibration from the phone gratifying. (I've been scared before.) nonetheless I had to disconnect/reconnect. It booted up at 96% both times.

I just did it again and I was a little bit quicker to put the battery back in. The phone started charging on its own like it should. So now I am at 90%. Seems like it could be lower based on the other results. I'll try one more time. Then I might be open to just about most any suggestions that are reasonable. I'm interested to see what the boosting method will do.

The battery did pretty amazing when it was still rooted in stock, though it did have its dysfunctions. Something I must have done when I flashed to #2. I wonder where it went bad. I miss my 20+ hours of charge. I don't think it's the rom that's giving me only 5-6 hours battery life. Ack.

Wiping stats/ calibration was useless.

It seemed to have helped.... ;)
#2 2.4

Did this and seemed to work at first but then after sitting with the screen off (not to mention wi-fi, 4G, and Nav also off) for 2 hours, it dropped to 27%, while doing nothing. So no im not convinced.

It either did nothing or made it wayy wayy wayy worse. Way jaja jk jk
