Help regular app to system app?

Is it possible for me to delete metro Web as a system app and replace it with another browser like dolphin hd? And is it safe to do so without any system errors?

I don't know about replacing but you can try it if you want by using titanium backup. It allows you to change system apps to regular apps vice versa. You're welcome to try and see if it went well.

From what I've heard, you can't remove MetroWeb. Causes a lot of issues. Make sure you make a backup before you try anything so that you don't have to reinstall everything.

I use My Backup Root. It's free and works great. I prefer this over Titanium Backup.

I've removed all system apps if i replace then with something else. Except for messaging. Gotta keep that one.

But the only browser i have installed is opera. Keep in mind you gotta be rooted to delete system apps. Just use titanium to make backups before you delete anything.

I actually use 2 apps to keep backups just because you never know if a backup will get damaged, which I've had happen.

I also use two backup apps: ROM toolbox pro and titanium pro. ill try it when i get home tonight and post results. Im just doing this for an extremely slimmed down system

Have deleted Metroweb many times and installed Dolphin in it's place. Have never had any errors whatsoever.:thumbup:
Keep both now as the stock browser has it's benefits

I also slim down apps on my phone. I made a post in a titanium back up thread a few weeks ago and i listed everything ive uninstalled safely.

I know all the voice stuff is gone, all music stuff, blue tooth shit. I can stand having shit on there that I'm not using.
