I don't know that they confirmed it, but it seemed to be the one they pushed the most at tech shows and whatnot.
As far as the Sprint/Motorola thing spelling doom and gloom, I'm not buying into it. If it's taking over 2 months to get a phone that's actually announced and has been given a rough release time-frame, then why on earth would they put out an unannounced phone in under a month?
yes but there could be a restocking fee involved depending on where you buy it ooh and when you go in to return the phone, you CAN'T exchange it. You have to return it and then buy a new phone.
Yes, the Moto thing is huge. Sprint is getting their own copies of Motorola's best phones that VZW and AT&T have. Both AT/T and VZW don't have the mix/match of superb devices that Sprint will have after Moto signs on. So, of course, there is going to be the big party where everyone is talking about the future of Moto and Sprint. It really is a big deal.
But not just because Moto is entering the fray. You will have the E3D, SGSII (in some form or another), plus the DX2 with 4G (VZW won't have that), and an Atrix with a bigger screen than what AT/T provides. Plus the rumor of getting the iPhone5 the same time AT/T and VZW do? If I was the CEO of Sprint, I'd be pretty excited, too. You have the best, or close enough to it, of each manufacturer's phones in your stores.
I doubt E3D will not release sometime in June because of Moto.
Well normally I would think twice cuz of the motorola event here soon but hell Verizon releases 2 new phones a week it seems like so Im not all that worried about the motorola event, and besides it could be just the the 3d announce it and dont hear nothing more about it for months

Well I think it's pretty much a given that they are going to announce a new Moto phone at that event. But that doesn't mean the phone will be for sale that day.
If Sprint starts selling the Evo 3D on June 3rd or around that weekend, look for them to announce the Moto device on June 9th, but it won't be for sale until sometime in July.
How awesome would it be if they announced the Moto device was glasses free 3D and had an unlocked bootloader? Evo 3D's would be flying back to Sprint stores (or preorders cancelled if it hadn't been released yet) lol.
I just got an email from studentrate.com, and it said the Evo 3d is expected to release on June 4th. It said if you ordered it now it would ship when it was in stock, and then listed the rebates you would receive (you've seen this before if you're a studentrate member.)

I think some time long ago, HTC and Sprint agreed to launch E3D around the anniversary of the Evo 4G (June 4). That was the goal; the target; not set in stone. So many outlets may reference this date still. But really, it was just a rough date, and as of right now, it's not looking very likely (but also not ruled out).

went by a sprint store yesterday to inquire about preorder and release information the E3D. the rep stated that they're targeting a June 3rd release date. he didn't say something vague like summer 2011, sometime in june or july, or by the end of june. he stated a specific date but did say that it was a target date, or rather didn't say it was a confirmed release date.

NOt exactly sure why Sprint, Best Buy, etc employees comment like fact?? My friend went into Best Buy yesterday to pre order the EVO 3D and they guy was like, the phone will be out in 2 - 3 weeks because we don't do pre orders unless the phone is only 30 days out from being released. Well then how did he come up with 2 to 3 weeks then since i preordered my phone May 3rd from Best Buy.

I would think the evo 3d will be out in June for sure, since the motorola photon4g is due in July, and the evo3d will be he flagship device, that was confirmed by sprint when I called...

It's over; and after seeing the first few minutes, it was pretty obvious that Sprint was not going to use this platform as an opportunity to announce the release date. It wasnt the right setting.

So this means that two of our idea's of "release date" release date have passed. Oprah's show came and left without a word, as did the Google Wallet launch. The next event Sprint has is june 9th, but I don't think Sprint will wait that long.
Tomorrow's Friday, May 27th, 2011. Seems like a good time release a launch date, whether the phone launches tomorrow, next Friday, or the one after, but I really doubt we'll be waiting into late June/early July to own this phone.

LOL. So let me see here. The logic goes, they cant release before june 9th because of some magical reason. If they do in fact push it back to july, they will be releasing like 5 major phone in the same month. Moto, sammy, asus, lg, and other htc will arrive in mid july to mid aug. Why would the launch a phone announced 2 months ago, after the launch a phone 2 weeks from now? June 4th is the day the are shooting for a launch. It will probably be announced in the tomorrow. If they shot past early june as a release date, they should not release it at all. It is old news by now, most of the phone in july will meet or beat the specs and not have a gimmick as the only major difference. They need to release this phone yesterday. If they wait to release after june 8th, they will lose major customer support.

Here is a new radioshack ad leak with the Evo 3D. It's like the one leaded before but confirms the ad is for June 5th - 11th. Odd thing is there is no price and it only talks about pre-order.HTC EVO 3D appears on front page of next weekend's Radio Shack ad, still only available for preorder

I agree with you but honestly I don't know what the hell to believe anymore. All the speculation makes sense but what is actually happening, which is nothing, makes no sense. I figure I can keep telling myself it will be released in september so anytime before that will come as a huge surprise to me. My optimism is all but gone at this point.
I agree with you completely. I was optimistic that a June 3rd release date was possible but now I'm beginning to doubt if it will be June at all. I really want the 3D because I think I would actually use it but my contract is up and both me an my wife have phone upgrades June 1. I'm so sick of carrying a blackberry and want an up to date phone and I may end up not getting the 3D just because as much as I want 3D I can't justify carrying my blackberry till August or September.

Seriously what is up with radio shack? Didn't we get one leak from an email stating rough June 4th, then a leak with a price, now an ad that is dated for June 5th about a pre sale. It's known that ads are printed way ahead of time, so I got to assume the email would be the most recent news.
