I was on the fence, but figured if early buyers get shipped today, maybe they could post here. I'm sure there are many of us with pre order deals but we could be tempted to buy early if indeed we get them before Friday. So, if you get your shipping notice why not share the news here.

Newb here, first post.
Last month before we knew the release date, I went to the Sprint store and asked to be put on the 3D list. It took them by suprise, so the manager told the girl to put my name on a yellow legal pad.

This morning at 9:00am sharp I get a call from them. He told me there are only 2900 available (dont know if thats just for his area) and he wasnt even sure he'd get any at all. But that he could order me on and get it tomorrow. Yea! He looked up my account and could even charge it on my next bill. I asked about loosing my 6/1/11 upgrade & he said he could fix that.

Yea, I didn't have to lift a finger & I may have a 3d in hand before Friday.

HTC Hero, it's been fun.
 
I just purchased one online but now I am wondering what to do with the pre order I have at the store. I had to purchase a $50 gift card and now wondering what I can do with it. Can I return it? Or have it applied to my account?
Buy accessories. I was told the gift card can't be used towards a bill.
 
I actually chatted with sprint Customer service yesterday, and even though I pre-ordered at local store, they told me to buy the EVo 3D online on 21st and if I take back the $50 gift card to local sprint store, they would re inverse me. I haven't had time to go to the sprint store yet..but planning to do so soon.
 
Was tracking the order via Sprint | Check Your Order Status earlier and it said it was being processed in the warehouse. Now it shows as the order # doesn't match their records.

I checked under my sprint account for order history and it shows it there as "In progress" but with a different order # (which is common for Sprint online orders). I check that order # at the sprint.com/myorder site and it showed the same thing earlier but now shows as doesn't match the records.

Hopefully this is just an issue with the myorder status site. I called Sprint and the lady did say the order is in progress.

EDIT: Nevermind. It is back to showing both order #s as in progress.
 
After much deliberation and after talking with my Sprint store I finally placed my order. I would have preferred to order at the store (just in case I decide to return it) but they aren't scheduling appointments yet and aren't even willing to gaurantee me a phone despite the fact it was pre-ordered. After waiting so long I'm hoping I'll at a minimum get this by Thursday now.

Did someone tell me wrong?

Nobody told you wrong. You read wrong. $199 with a 2 yr agreement is the price we are all paying (Unless you are trading your original EVO in)

You will pay 199, the 150 comes of of the 359 upgrade original price or something like that

That's what I'm concerned about now. 2 minutes ago I had a status update now I get this:

"We're sorry; the number you entered did not match our records. Please check you number and try again. Remember to include all dashes. (xx-xxx-1234567)"

Don't worry...i've been seeing that all morning on/off. Sometimes it shows the status...other times it shows the message you posted.

What seems to be consistent and not changing is by going to your Sprint account > Pay Bill > Order History. You'll see it listed there too.

Thanks for the tip, didn't know you could do that. I did look and it's not showing up under my order history yet but when I looked at the order status it's showing up again.

Just an FYI. The # that shows up under the order history and the order # they send via email when you bought it are usually different.
 
I think it's going to be as big of a hit as last year and with the porting credit I bet alot of people leave there own carriers for Sprint cause there cheaper and have unlimited data. I have a few friends on T mobile that hate it and can't wait till there contracts are up. BB has the EVO 4G for free for new customers and 50 for upgrades. I would still recommend the EVO to someone not wanting to pay 199 for a phone. But for people porting there number then yes I would go for the 3D.

We had a box at work with old cellphones to donate and someone took out 2 phones for me and said here take these to the Sprint store and get 5 bucks a piece for them heck 10 bucks is 10 bucks. So I'm gonna turn them in. That's 10 bucks off a case. I can't wait till you people start getting the phone.

Noting with interest early buyers are overloading their system while others have suggested this would not be a hit. Mmmmmk. ;)
