I never got a call, though I suppose it's still possible. If I don't get one, I can't go till 1 tomorrow as I've got class till then. I better get my Xoom (or rather my X-zero-zero-m) or I might cry.

I mean waiting for the store to open. I'm prob gonna show up at like 8:45 or so since they open at 9. More in a hope of them letting me in a few minutes early since I'll be pressed for time.
 
I'm officially pissed right now. I just called my MORON store and got transferred all over the damn place. They put me through to best buy mobile (hurray for the first guy that answered knowing where to send me) and the MORON who answered was like "a what??" "A XOOM" "um, let me transfer you to customer service." :mad: So I was not able to determine if I am able to pick it up tomorrow or not. At this point, I'm seriously just going to go to VZW in the morning on the way to work and see if they have any. If not, I guess I'll head to BB when they open. My boss is going to be THRILLED.

As for premiere silver 45 day, it SHOULD.

That reminds me of the day I got my Droid. Obviously a big deal since it was the first real competition to the i*hone. I asked them when they opened blah blah blah. I get there what I'm thinking is a half hour early so I can wait in line as I've done for popular electronics in the past. Yeaaaa, they had already opened an hour early without telling anyone! So, good luck with that one. :D
 
Hello all. I was told Sunday by the BB guy who handled the pre-orders, that I would receive a call that would let me know of the availability of my unit.

Well, needless to say, it is the eve of the launch, I have gotten no such call.

Should I be concerned? I am going out of town Friday morning and would like to have my xoom in hand for the flight.

Anyone else have not gotten a call?
 
Someone else said they were told they wouldn't call until tomorrow. When I called, the morons transferred my call to customer service because the mobile people had NO IDEA what a "xoom" was. Are you freaking kidding me?! I'm not happy right now.
 
I went to BB and the guy knew nothing about appointments. He said he was going to call other stores to see how they are handling it. He said he would call me back but never did. I'm just showing up at 10 and play dumb about needing an appointment. The guy I talked to didn't see a problem with me just showing up.
 
Personally I'm going to swing into VZW on my way into work as they open at 9 and see what they have. If they have it, I'll go into BB after work and get some accessories. Whoever has one for me wins at this point.
 
I didn't get a call. I called them (again) and was told all they knew is that their display goes up tomorrow and beyond that they weren't sure, and I should call back and talk to the manager tomorrow after they open. I'm glad I wasted my time going in there on Sunday and pre-ordering for no apparent reason.

I'll stop by the closest VZW corporate store tomorrow morning and try to get one there.
 
Was out of state on a sales trip and called Atlanta store about 11:30. Explained to mobile guy that I pre-ordered and was told I would get a call for appointment. He said they had not received their stock as yet and if I did not hear by 6:30 PM to call back. I called back from the airport at 4:15 and spoke to a lady and explained was about to board a plane and was told to call back. She asked my name and put me on hold....came back and said " you are number one" and what time on Thursday would I like to come in. Told her would be in a meeting till 12:30 and set it up for 12:45. Also asked if she would have a folio case and she said would have one for me.
 
After reading that VZW wont charge for data or activation for a unsubsidized Xoom, I'm just going there first thing. Im tired of BB giving me the run around. Ill use my 50 dollar pre-order gift card for accessories.

I've been reading yes and no, and unfortunatly my verizon rep wasn't any more help, he said the same applied at verizon stores that applied there.

So many questions, guess we'll find out tomorrow? =/
 
I'd be willing to bet no Xoom comes from motorola with locked wifi. There saying this just to force a data plan on people because thats how VZ/BBY/ect. make there money.
 
On the plus side, I just got a call confirming I can pick mine up today.

On the minus side, I can't go in until 1 pm, since I have lab until then! Now I'm anxious!
 
Bestbuy called and told me yesterday they could not do subsidized price because Verizon had not released them to do so. Said it was not up to them as a Verizon reseller they can't make that call. But we will find out today the real story.

eh im sitting here at the house waitin' to drive up to best buy up the street... im already prepared to pay the full amount. it would be cool to get the subsidized price thru bby but i really dont feel like jumping thru hoops to convince/persuade these clowns. ill follow the path of least resistance...
