Release date/rumored pricing info.

Yesterday I went back to that same Metro store to purchase the Connect 4g that the saleslady said she had and would sell me two days earlier. She said that she was out of the phones now and that she could call another store to see if they had any. Here's where it gets shady, when she asked the clerk from the other store if they had any in stock she didn't say Connect 4g! She asked if they had anymore Esteem's in stock. So I see this two ways:

1. She is an idiot, can't read, or hear. As I picked up the prism shaped promotional box with the picture and the name of the phone right on it and I said "Connect 4G".

or

2. She tried to bait and switch me, charging me $409.00 for a 299.99 phone.

Either way I was disappointed because I couldn't purchase the phone or get any pics of it. Hell, I don't even know if she had it in the first place. I managed to sell some equipment I didn't need to get the extra money for it too. Since
 
I went into my local metro store and they had a bunch of promos up for the connect and I asked the guy how much the phone is gonna be for and he told me it's gonna be the same price as the samsung galaxy attain? I don't know if that's true or not but that's what he told me
 
Hello, this is my first post and and I'm undecided. I don't know if I should get the lg esteem or wait for the connect to come out. If anyone knows the final prize for the connect plz put it in here :D

Ehh, from what I know...gorilla glass, 5 MP cam w/flash led, 1.2 GHz dual core snapdragon processor and NOVA screen seems too much for $249. That would be an awesome deal though :D
 
Did anyone go to a metro store today? Are they releasing it tomorrow or what?

Holy crap it looks like the lg connect is available at metro stores now! Check their website, it's already listed. I checked the price for the lg esteem on amazon yesterday night and it changed from 299 to 349 which sucks. So both phones are selling for 349.99
 
I went to a metropcs corporate office on Fowler ave, Tampa fl on Friday to get my connect. The sales person acted like he was doing me a favor or selling me a new I phone, wtf. Then he tried to charge me $369 for the phone.
When I point out that the web site price the phone at $349 the sales person said that that price is only for online sales. He tried to charge me store charges or something, at that point i just walk out the store.
That afternoon I found an small metropcs store, and I got my phone for the listed price, the Colombian sales woman even filled out my rebate forms and everything.
Now I am sticking to this small store for all my phone needs.
I just wanted to share this early bad experience for those people that say good thinks about the big metropcs corporate stores and talk crap about the little ones.
 
I picked mine up Friday afternoon, they had just hit my store (metro pcs cumming, ga)................paid $349 with a $30 mail in rebate with a net of $319 + tax, etc walked out $402 later.......dumped battery first day due to wi-fi on, operator error I guess.........my first smart phone................I waited for this phone and so far, I am loving it and so is everyone else that looks at it that has history with android............I live in rural boundary area and this phone is crisp and clear, screen is bright graphic. Gotta go back in for some "real time" show me, picked up at lunch time and was shocked it was in................now if I can just learn how to type on it..................aaahhh

Mine dumped first day, had wi-fi connected (first smartphone and I am duh!)) but today it drained @half with nothing and very little usage, ..............only had since late friday so .......been charging since I got home tonight, check me later on battery life...............i may be making run back to metro on this
