[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

So are you saying it's physicaly possible to put a larger battery with the same size deminsions, or ruin the looks of the device by adding a large protruding battery door? I would rather mintain the slimest look possible since the phone is already a little porky.

IF ... the Bolt comes with a larger battery, it would be the same size as the current. When I said larger I meant higher mAh, not a larger physical size.

There are a bunch of pages to read through, so someone please point me in the right direction if I missed it. Is there another phones battery that is larger capacity and better charge sucess rate, that will fit in this phone without having to get a different back? I know that it's nearly impossible to know right now, as no one has the phone in hand to look. My Inc battery life is horrible, and I don't want to have to charge the phone every 3 hours (yes, I'm doing that now). Just curious, and again if I missed it please point me to the posting. Thanks!

I just got mine in the mail this weekend.

I no one thing's for sure. When they do decide to announce it there will probably be hella commercials for it.. remember the ones that they shut off like 2 days ago? l bet it will become popular with the mass very quickly after they start advertising for it again.

I think so too. No way they are launching their first 4G Phone w/o tons of advertising and making a huge deal about it.

I know its a little late but a $15.00 Touch Pro 2 battery is 1500 m amps and will fit the Incredible. The My Touch 4g is the same size battery as the Thunderbolt.

My understanding is that the Battery size is the same as the Inc which has available a 1750Ma battery in the after market that does not require a back cover change.

That would be a jump from 1400 to 1750 which along with a firmware change and maybe ginger bread might make things livable. :)

No the Inc has a smaller Ma of like 1300 or something like that but the actual size of the battery pack is the same from what I have heard. Some are saying it is like the EVO's size but I think the Evo and the Dinc have different size battery packs and the T-bolt is like the Dinc not the Evo.

At least that is what I had read somewhere.

To me size is measurement like Length width and height and the Ma is the rating.

Yeah so basically looks like no launch this week.

I think they have that tweet perpetually saved to the clipboard so that they can paste to twitter and sumbit the post once a week......I wonder how long it will last :(

The comedy continues - - - the Thunderbolt Facebook page shows the release date as 3/21/2011 , what a hoot. :)

first post here, Ive been waiting for this phone since the pre-november fiasco last year. Its been maddening lol. I wish they would just release it, I have sold my iphone, and am using a nokia 2610 until the tb releases. Its painful to say the least... :(
