Root remove the boost mobile txt

Yeah its located on the lock screen and the drop down menu on the stock rom if im not mistaking.. but i have read some threads saying that it is possible but no one was actually doing it for some reason or another...
 
i believe that's the name of the service provider that you are currently logged into. it changes to "No Service" when you get no reception. I doubt it can be changed

No i had a droid from Stalk (precedent) screwed it up and it would not boot
used a stock image from a boost mobile prevail to bring it back to life just enough to go get a replacement.. and the boost mobile txt would come up across the top right even tough the phone was on straight talk..

Did you want to change it back to straight talk?

Or

Remove it completely?

You've tried the backup you created for odin on two different Precedents?

Yes the other back up that is out there is for the boost mobile phone hence my need to remove the boost mobile txt and junk.. well as there was none I took my phone back to walmart and got a new precedent (exchange told them it was not booting properly) I then rooted the new precedent and installed busybox and made a new image that we can use on the precedents... that will not of course have the boost mobile stuff from the boost mobile prevail
So I have no need to remove boost mobile txt as it is not a factor anymore and the thread here requesting it can be closed..
But I did make a back up f my Samsung precedent as soon as i rooted it and installed busybox that file is available HERE

i purposely installed shabbymod and it would not boot my phone at all then i used my file to bring it back to straight talk precedent with root and busybox
so it does work...
 
That's AWESOME news davew41. Would you mind if I included this info and link with the appropriate credits of corse in my other thread about the Precedent?

We should also include it in the original Odin thread if you're willing.

Do as you see fit.. I think we will be seeing a lot of precedent users showing up here as the price of the phone and plan with straight talk is a steal. :D
