nevermind. found it.

In the browser hit Menu soft key to bring up the 6 tabs. Then hit "More" like you would to bookmark a page. Scroll down; second to the bottom is "Settings". Scroll down a tad and find Set Home Page. Click it and input the website you want as your new homepage.

That trick doesn't work anymore after rooting. Which kind of sucks considering I used the "debloated froyo" package. Anyone else have this problem?
