If you were clear, several others wouldn't have jumped in and agreed with me. You're badgering the developer who is nice enough to come in here and address everyone's individual questions, which he is not required to do.

And I know you paid for the app, it's not free for anyone, but well worth the very small price.

Record yourself doing what isn't working and post it here. Hopefully we can help you then.

Also, why don't you show us a video of LockBot doing what you expect WidgetLocker to do.

i don't use SCREEN OFF -> EASY WAKE UP.....

That is what Easy Wake Mode does. The reason no one understands you is because you say it works and then ask for it to do exactly what it does on everyone else's phone.

Kevin is right, I have been using WL and it does EXACTLY what you say you want it to do. Which is why people, including Kevin, are confused about what you are asking. Either you are not communicating it very well or you are not understanding how to set it up correctly. Either way, without having your phone in our hands, we can't say what you are doing wrong. And you are not being very specific about what your settings are.

I am not the author of Lockbot Pro. I do not use Lockbot Pro. If all you want is Lockbot Pro, then feel free to use it.

Not to be a big ol jerk, but this is probably the best advise. Just keep using the program you already know how to use and "does what you want".

I am having an alarm issue and wanted to see if anyone else is having this problem...The only reason I think this might be WL related is because of the popup that asks snooze or dismiss.

When an alarm goes off I pick up the phone and it immediately snoozes. It is like the motion of me picking it up sets it to snooze. I do not have another alarm app installed and I do not see where the stock HTC alarm has a "shake to snooze" feature. But, bot some reason it looks like that is what is happening. I can recreate it every time, but sometimes it seems to take more than one pickup for it to happen.

I am making sure my fingers do not press anywhere on the screen, and my nightstand does not press any buttons.

Any thoughts?

How is that not what you're looking for?

Are you saying that with WidgetLocker, it starts up with LockBot first? That's the only thing I can see you might be getting at.

We recommended you take a video of LockBot doing what you want and then WidgetLocker doing what you don't want. I suggest you shoot a quick video of how WidgetLocker behaves so we can better help you.

I am trying really hard to be helpful but I just don't understand what you are saying. Honestly, you are not making any sense. And it's clearly not just me, no one seems to get it. I understand that English isn't your first language but I don't think that's the problem. You are just being vague.

Lets try this:

When you install and use Widget Locker, please explain IN DETAIL, what happens. Step by step detail. For instance, here is what happens for me:

1) Press hardware button.
2) Lockscreen appears with my widgets and slider.
3) Press the "unlock" button (aka - the slider) and slide it over.
4) Home Page appears. Phone is unlocked and ready to use.


Is that not what your's is doing? And if not, WHAT is it doing?? Please use step by step details of what is happening, because this vague (and frankly whiney) "but mine doesn't dooooo that!" isn't helping us or you.

Please take a video of your phone using Widget Locker. It would help to see exactly what your phone is doing and what settings you have.

Because your video of Lock Bot isn't helping. We are not using Lock Bot, we are using Widget Locker. Kevin is the dev of WL, not LB. We are not here to troubleshoot LB, we are trying to help you with WL.

But I will say... my phone does exactly what your first video does. And that is with Widget Locker, NOT Lock Bot. I have never even used Lock Bot.

Of course I do not want to be rude either and I applaud your grasp of the English language, but there is a way to ask for something.

And just in case you were not aware of this, the use of CAPS has two meanings:

If it is a single word, it can mean "emphasis"...But, it usually means you are shouting or raising your voice. This may be part of why people here are misunderstanding your intentions or reacting to you the way they are.

Last thing and then I will be quiet; there are a lot of other people here also asking questions of the developer. Maybe take that into consideration as to why responses to what you ask are slower than you expect.

And for what it's worth, using CAPS is considered yelling over the Internet, and your continued use of caps is what leads us to believe you're being rude. Try using quotes, bold, italics, etc. to emphasize something without coming off as rude.

First of all, stop YELLING! (CAPS is considering yelling). It's rude. We are trying to help and frankly, on any other forum you would have been told to bug off already.

It sounds like a problem with your settings. Which is why we want a video of you using Widget Locker and showing the settings. Just like the first one you posted of you using Lock Bot Pro.


The setting to turn on hardware buttons is Easy Wake Mode. From the Widget Locker Tools, click on menu and go into your settings.

Click on Advanced, it's the last one in the first section.

First option is Easy Wake Mode. That needs to be checked. It's what allows you to use a hardware button to wake the phone.

it sounds like what you are saying is, you have widget locker installed and you believe it is enabled, but when you try to wake your phone using a physical button, it does not wake up. you can only wake it up using whatever button the phone uses normally (i'm not familiar with your phone). is that what is happening?

if that is the case, couple of things:
1) are you trying to use this while you have lockbot enabled? if so, the two are perhaps conflicting. if not, are you sure you have lockbot disabled completely?
2) do you have widget locker enabled and using easy wake mode?
3) why exactly are you even interested in widget locker if lockbot does what you want it to do? is it that you want it to wake the phone like lockbot but also put widgets on your lockscreen? because if you JUST want it to wake the phone the way you show, then why bother with wl?

i really hope this gets settled soon, because this entire thread is being hijacked with just this one person's possible issue. soon it might be a good idea for you to take your issue off line with the dev. i'm not trying to be piggy here, i'm just wondering if we're all helping or just causing more confusion.

Please follow these steps exactly:
Go to Settings > Advanced > turn on Easy Wake Mode.
Go to Settings > Buttons & Inputs > turn off Allow Back button
Go to Settings > Report bug and email me your full configuration so I can verify it.
Press the power button once to turn off your screen.
Press the back button on your phone once.
Tell me EXACTLY what you see.
Press the power button once to turn off your screen again.
Press the volume up key on your phone once.
Tell me EXACTLY what you see.

If you could make a video of it that would be very helpful too.

Actually... I am not sure I should be seeing it now...

I have never used Sense UI. Ever. Within 10 minutes of powering my phone on for the first time I had removed all preloaded widgets and apps from the Sense homescreens and installed Launcher Pro. I have never gone back to Sense.

And because I have never used Sense and only use Launcher Pro... I have never used the Sense widgets. I can't use them in fact.


And yet now... when I "unlock" my phone... a tons of clouds fill the screen with lighting flashing through it (yes, we are having thunderstorms right now, so this is accurate).

I like it, it looks cool. But should it be doing that if I can not using Sense UI, or the Sense weather widgets? I am using Weather Widget and it's never been animated.

Just to clarify, I LIKE this! I am not complaining at all. Just wondering if it's supposed to do this...?

No, you shouldn't be seeing it. See my post above. The HTC Weather animation should only play if you unlock the phone and left it on a home screen with the HTC Clock/Weather widget on that home screen.

I love the animations, but I'd rather no animation than one that plays regardless of whether I use the HTC Weather widget. It continues playing when you go into something like settings and is distracting, whereas with the animation using the stock unlock, it stops the weather when you go into something, which is preferable.

I do appreciate the effort though! Hopefully there's a fix.

WidgetLocker is actually manually triggering the animations since the Sense UI won't when WidgetLocker is running. I considered making them only play on the Sense UI home, but I figured some people might like them with LauncherPro or whatever. You can turn them off in Settings > Look & Feel > Htc Weather Animations.

WidgetLocker triggering them is also the reason they play on any home screen, not just the one with the widget, and why they keep going even after you touch the screen.
