Help Replacement Phone?

I got my connect from Craigslist.
Is it possible to get a replacement from Metro?
I don't have MetroGuard or anything so what would I do to try to get one?
Do you need proof you bought the phone?
Please help! Battery charging issues are getting on my nerves.
 
I don't think there is anyway that you could expect them to replace a phone that you didn't purchase from them, and in fact it may be quite illegal to even imply to them that you bought it from them. I am pretty sure it falls under the fraud category. It would probably be best if you looked for another really good deal on another phone, or just buy one from Metro if that is possible. That way they would honor any warranty that came with the phone if a problem did arise.
 
I saw at least two posts in here about how LG replaced or fixed people's connects with no proof of purchase. I think both of them were even admittedly the user's fault. After two LG phones I'm not too impressed by their products but they seem to be great as far as backing it up. You should give them a call and find out. Good luck.

Hey, I also bought mine from craigslist too. What i hate about mine is that it only gets 3g and not 4g. I called customer service and they said that the phone is still in warranty, but idk if i should go or not.

Does it not get 4g anywhere you go or just in your area? Have you tried doing a factory reset?

Edit: also try calling *228 and update your roaming list. The latest one is 3031 just came out. You can find what version you have in settings and about phone.

I do not get 4g anywhere,whatsoever. Ive stood near signal towers and still only get 3g/Ev. I've done a factory reset, that didn't help. I've done every type of reset (well not really) and that hasn't helped either. I'm kinda stuck. I'm wondering if there is any options available, unless if i absolutely have to go to that dang corporate metro store. And yes i do have the latest roaming list.
 
MetroGUARD and etc is only available when you first activate your phone , as it would be unfair .... So your out of luck at that part , Try other options :)

My phone isn't charging.
Just don't mention its secondhand act, like you bought it at a metro store. You will be fine
 
A good idea would to say that you bought it at a metro store , say a random store you might know , They don't ask for where you buy it , or date purchased unless if you look nervous or you don't have service connected , If it has a ROM on it or rooted , they use a little device sometimes to check if it is rooted , it is black and has 2 cables , so watch out if you see one , and also be cool , I might be a Verizon Clerk but that doesn't mean I haven't had my fair share of evil once in a while :P

What if they connect it over there and it works? And what about the proof of purchase what if they ask for it?

They never ask for proof of purchase , If they do , Just say that you don't have the reciept or anything like that

Alright ill see cause i called customer service the other day and they said that the phone is still in warranty. And what i was thinking of doing was sabotaging my charger port on the phone with tweezers or something and then telling them my little brother it lol
