That sounds wrong man. Wish i knew more about how they work. Since u didnt even move the digi' you couldnt have pulled out the ribbon or whatever so maybe it is damaged. Did a lil search on youtube n couldnt find a vid for specificly the digitiser..
There's a tiny pinhole dent/ in the layer under the glass (digitizer, I assume), and three little scratches. Could this really be the problem for it's complete unresponsiveness?
Anything at all I can do to repair it? Even for a moment? Based on your description, could a tiny piece of foil over the tiny dented part restore the electrostatic field? Any way to repair the capacitive layer in anyway at all? I know it sounds bad, but it's my only choice at this point.
What's this little "sensor ribbon" that's sticking out? Could it be the problem? This isn't my phone screen by the way. Nope forget it, that's the button sensor.
Wow- I have seen success stories posted on replacing just the glass & just the screen, but I think if I cracked mine, I'd be ponying up for the assembly.
Kudos for you guys that have the guts to try & do it tho...
