only thing the factory reset wont help with is the audio loss on calls bug....everyone else complaining, please do a factory reset....if you have already, and still have serious issues get your phone replaced.

I've set up an IMAP e-mail account that syncs just fine but the embedded images aren't showing up. Any suggestions?

That's the only problem I've noticed since doing a factory reset.

Since the upgrade when I turn my ringer down the notifications volume does not go down but stays the same. Why would this have changed and has this changed for anyone else. I have tried everything but a factory reset.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Dialer app issues Update, any help is appreciated! [After Factory Reset!]

For the first time I didn't hear my phone ring. When going to listen to my Voice mail, my phone connected like normal but no sound came from the earpiece. I put on the speaker phone, nothing! I tried punching in my password for VM and the dialer was lagging horribly.
I hung up, and tried dialing another number which showed to be next to impossible, the dialer was seriously locking up. From touching the first number, you could count 10 seconds before it appeared and you could enter another number. It wasn't in the middle of a process (which I know sometimes slows functionality down) but the lagging never went away until I rebooted my phone entirely. Has this happened to anyone???

You've got the "audio loss" or "silent call" or "no sound" bug. When it happens, there's no sound, and anything that's supposed to generate sound lags horribly. Also, the phone does not sleep while the bug is occurring.

The temporary solution is a battery pull or reboot. There's no permanent solution that we know of except to have your phone replaced under warranty. More complaints here:

Calendar Widget Question???

The new Calendar Widget, that lists all of your upcoming events. How do you change the color of the tab to the left like in the preview image.

They are all orange and it's very hard to distinguish between holidays, weekly reminders, and special appointments.

It's an awesome addition to the Calendar widgets but with the events all looking the same it's about as good as the old single event widget in 1.5 (and 2.1).

That's the only problem I've noticed since doing a factory reset.

I just solved it. I had to go in and increase the size limit of the e-mails. The default is so small, it only allows text. I increased it to no limit and refreshed and the embedded images came in just fine. :)

Never mind. :o I was going through the menus and found that the different colors indicate from which calendar the event is coming from... Exchange, Gmail, etc...

Pretty cool, just wish you could change the color based on reoccurring events, holidays, and such.

You can - create separate Google calendars for all of the things that you want distinguished. I have separate calendars for my wife and I, each of my kids, holidays, vacations, birthdays and anniversaries, plus subscribed calendars for various sports teams. You can set the calendar color in the settings of Google Calendar.

Some things I have noticed so far...

1. Camera pictures are blurry. Doesnt seem to focus as well as before.
2. Lose all sounds during calls
3. Unable to access screen during calls. Makes it impossible to check voice mail
4. Phone lags
5. Mp3 store and other apps run even after I use task killer
6. Battery life is less. (updated claims to make it better) 7. When I load Facebook I have to refresh the page to see any new posts. Even a task killer an old page always pops up.
8. Sometimes my phone doesnt seem to charge.
9. Only 1-2 signal bars. Used to be 3-4
10. When I turn my phone on, it resends some text messages.
11. When recieving a call there is a delay in the name and picture showing up.
Before the update my phone stopped receiving pict messages. I could send them and regular text worked fine. After the update I can receive picts again, that's good I guess....

The issues I had prior to the update:
1. Lag. Was cured with a factory reset.
2. Mobile turned off randomly. I would have to go to the Mobile on/off button, turn it off (because it still said it was on even though I didn't get a signal), wait a second, turn it back on.
3. Wouldn't download any MMS messages.

All issues I had prior seem to now be fixed. Yay!

But! (Isn't there always a 'but') Issues I have no are:

1. Contact info shows up twice in contact card. Home, home, mobile, mobile, email, email...for everyone. It double my contacts according to gmail. Now I have to merge contacts. Really? REALLY?

2. Just today, my calendar sync'd but it gave me an error message: "Too Many Calendar Deletes". What the heck is that supposed to mean?

3. Linked FB photos, the few that show up (most don't), are super pixelated. Gross.

4. Why did they take away the ability to vibrate when you receive a google talk message? All I get is the blinking green light. But I can't feel that through my purse. Just sayin'...

5. The weather widget. We all know what I'm talking about here.

I'm sure I'll come back with more, but that's what I can think of now. * sigh * Off to play around with it some more. I should rephrase..."play" eludes to fun.

1. The HTC Battery widget is stuck on installing when I go to Get more HTC widgets. I have uninstalled it, reinstalled, uninstalled, then rebooted and nothing works. I can't cancel it because the Cancel Download button is grayed out.

2. Facebook synced my friend's phone numbers into my dialer app and I never even call them. I am unable to delete them.

So I got to page four of this forum and just decided to post my thought. So sorry if this was a fix post for any of these problem.
1) I have the silent call/ringing bug
2) Text messages are really slow to send
3) app load a little slower than 1.5. have not downloaded any new app since update.
4) also the 50% without signal issue.

I will try a factory reset because it standard when call VZW support, but I will wait a few day to see if anyone can help or if I find the answer in the last four pages of the forum.
Also I recieved my update via OTA on sunday 5/16

every since i updated, Google Voice always force closes.
even if i get the force close notice, then not reopen it,
i still get another notification that it has to force close.

had to uninstall it to stop doing that.

Mine did that, too. I reinstalled, and the problem stopped.

Anyone have any idea on how to keep your awake time more than a few hours from your up time? my battery life sucks and im damned if I can figure out what the hell is running. I did install ATK, that did seem to help a little but the awake time is still way up there and I have no clue whats running. anyone else having these issues? Also I have noticed theres supposed to be a desk clock that runs when you plug your phone in or something, all I have is the lock screen has anyone else noticed this too or did I mis-understand something?

I've been experiencing the same problems as everyone else, but I haven't noticed anyone mention that their google talk app disappeared, am the only one that this happened to? I can't find it in the market and I really don't like eBuddy as much as GTalk...help!

My biggest issue aside from not being able to figure out where to put my Photo Albums now is that Apps are kind of laggy sometimes. The music player lags between changing songs or functions more than it used to.

Also Apps that run in the background ALL the time. If I stop it they stay shut off until I open another app that's even closely related (Music and MP3 Store/Voice Dialer) so that lags things up too.

"Silent Call"/"Phone going Silent" Bug Update -

Ok, I've narrowed it down. Anyone that sees this pattern too let me know.

This issue seems to happen prominently after someone leaves me a voice mail and I select to listen to it from the Notifications bar at the top. It's happened consistently!

I'll get a call, which I hear just fine. They leave a voice mail, which I hear the notification just fine. But once I select to call my voice mail from the notification bar, I never hear the voice mail operator. Then it all just goes to pot, the phone lags when I use the dialer and volume and everything. Then I reboot and the call to VM works.

While I have noticed this trend as well, I have a new one. I tried to use the voice dialer (long-press the send key) and it got hosed up, locked the phone for a minute then force closed. I tried it again and it told me the feature was unavailable and to try restarting my phone. I tried to call out normally and the silent call problem reared its ugly head. I had to turn the phone off and on again.

As a side note, I didn't see Caddyman's reply until after I did a factory reset, but he is correct in that it does not resolve this particular issue. I still would reccommend it though because I thought that my phone was running perfectly fine and faster after the OTA, after the factory reset it got even faster.

Also kudos to OTD on the HTC Battery widget tip about it draining the battery life. I uninstalled it and immediately saw improvement. While I had it running I could charge the phone for an hour and only get 5% charge back, now I can get at least 50% charge back after an hour.

I'll be taking my phone to the Verizon store today for the silent call issue. I'll let everyone know what they say.
