Root [Req] Navigation bar in CM9?

I've tried some of the flashable zips I found online, rebooted but nothing happens. Is there method specific to this from or is it impossible?

im pretty sure, you need to clear cache, clear data, and then flash gapps

lol, why don't you have a navigation bar on your phone? If your running one of the ROM's from here, you should have a nav bar.

I'm assuming hes talking about the bar up top you slide down to view notifications. When I first flashed cm9 i didnt have that bar, until after i flashed gapps.

The navigation bar is the bar on the bottom of the screen that has home, back, menu search on other phones. I know we have hardware buttons but they were nice in Akop, its just that CM9 is more stable.

Those are stock, is there any way I can get the customizable one? The one that adds the "Navigation" in settings\system maybe?
