Root [REQ] Stock GB 596 CRT ON?

I was wondering if anyone had the expertise to incorporate the CRT On & Off animation to stock 596 deodexed?

I've looked all over and so far I can only find CRT Off.

i dont think anyone put the on animation on, i know the off animation is on just about every single rom lol.

The only Rom I saw that had CRT-on was cm7, fyi. I haven't seen it for anything else.

Yeh thats the ROM I'm currently on, but I'm thinking of going back to 596 for the battery life..etc, but I'd miss the CRT on if I did.

It's not that it's no good, its that 596 HAS better battery life.

Go to Liquid or OMFGB or OMGB. It has both CRT off and on.

Whats the difference between OMFGB AND OMGB? Also I assume they have better battery life compared to CM7?

OMGB is a bit more stripped down and, has better battery life. Might want to try that one first!

Well after 24 hours of moderate use I still had 28% of my battery remaining. OMGB seems to be a keeper!

omgb is pure gingerbread, its the stock aosp experience, with little to no modifications

omfgb is just a modified version of GB that gives you speed, and funcionality.

each have better battery life than cm7

i guess that since its pure gingerbread that omgb would have better battery life, but thats just my thinking

Yeah I was surprised that only CRT Off was available for it after all this time. Oh well, I'm really enjoying OMGB so it's no biggy at this point. My battery easily makes it through the day now which is all I care about.

how is battery life on cm7 better than .596? i dunno what your doing but the motoblur has a tool that controls the battery life, hence why you get such good battery life out of it, the battery drain issue is not a rom issue IMO, its the software issue, android is notorious for horrible battery life, and it should be with what all it powers at the same time. i think most people are seeing the battery life as it would be if the phone was naturally AOSP.
