Is it possible to get the "Track Skip on Volume Press" feature available on Froyo such as the Sharp ROM? Similar to the CM7 feature when the screen is off and you may hold the volume buttons to skip to the next song. Thanks

It maybe possible but I am not 100% sure. I would try and find another Froyo ROM from any phone running version 2.2.3. Pull out the music.apk and replace it with ours and see if that works. I am not sure if they updated the code for that until Gingerbread.

Best bet would to put the stock GB music player in miui and replace the icon. Or check with other GB miui releases to see if that was added in.

PlayerPro has that option

I think in CM7 it's part of the framework. There's an option for it under CM settings. I think that's why it is available across the different parts of the system.

I was wondering the same thing but for MIUI gingerbread.

Try going to the Settings>System Tab>Button Settings
and under the Media Button option choose whichever Music Player you are currently using. It works for me in the 1.11.25 MIUI build.

Just did that but only gives an option to wake the device instead of skipping tracks. Weird that PowerAmp doesn't give that option when PlayerPro does, unless I just can't find it.

Yeah, it is. I thought they were both pretty comparable
