Is it safe to reroot my Evo? for some reason i cant update the recovery and i was thinking that re rooting it would fix it. If it is safe, let me know. If not, is there any other way to update the recovery than the regular methods? cause they dont work.

BTW. i do have s-on but all of the root stuff still works...

If you have s-on, you need to reroot to get a custom recovery flashed. Follow the instructions in the revolutionary sticky to reroot that piece.

As long as your hboot is supported by revolutionary it should work.

sorry nobody got to you yet.
first off you do not want to mess with hboots. that is the easiest way to brick your phone. second what is your current hboot? do you have s-off?
