Hey dkl1, how's it going?I ran CM7 for several months and had it setup as I preferred. I remember resizing all my apps icons on the home screens. For the life of me, I cannot find where to do that in this CM9.1 ROM! Any help? Thanks

Not sure on that irom....never ran it. However, I am running Go Launcher Ex and there is an option to resize icons as well as have a 4x5 screeen instead of the standard 4x4 screen....just a thought

I just started playing with Go Launcher EX about 2 or 3 days ago....there is A LOT of customization with that! Wow! Didn't realize it til I tried it.
But glad you got it working!!![]()

Hey, now that's nice. Now here's a curve ball....I converted my Go Launcher to a system app and backed it up with TB. If/when I go to a different rom, can I restore Go Launcher? (which is now a system app) and also restore data? One thing I like about golauncher is you can save your page setups in memory, then when you go to another rom and re install the launcher, you can restore your setup. If the apps are there, the pages show up as they were before.

hmmm...yeah well maybe not nowI'm a simple sort of guy, make a nand and try it and see if it works, then tell us if it works or not...![]()
Running Decks Reloaded is sweet enough for me. I don't flash alot of roms. I've only ran 2 for any length of time...MikG and now Decks. I tried the AOKP rom for about a day...
Yeah, about not restoring system apps....that was my curiosity ....maybe it wont kill me but kill my phone....Thankfully, we have nand backups!!Just thought of something though, we always tell folk not to restore system apps, the ones in red, seems like they don't play across roms...
Tb already restores apps, i am not sure what the advantage is to what you did.
however, if no one trys anything, then we never learn anything, right? and curiosity is good, right? unless you are a cat...
You are using a class 10 sdcard and you are running your dalvik cache from your sdcard. Known issue with a2sd. Use a class 4 and it goes away. Meanwhile to reduce this intermittent remount issue run your dalvik from your internal as there is no reason to run it from your sdext anyway in gb unless you are less than 125 megs of internal and make go launcher a system app, that way when the remount issue does happen you won't lose all of your widget settings. You never lost your apps to begin with.

That would make sense as nothing has changed as far as system apps.heard about people restoring them to new flashes of the same roms.
To quote ropodope
That's one of the reasons I converted Go to a system app.![]()
No but that quote was from a different context..not about flashing different roms tho.Well, I know he is way smarter than I am on this.
Did he say to back it up and restore it as well as make it a system app?
And, like I mentioned, I have seen where folk were talking about restoring it to the same app, so that might not be a problem at all.

If by studies, you mean schoolwork, I'm not in school. Thanks Bro, Keep up the good work and your studies!

woops! lol.....that went flyin over my head! You missed one, I meant your studies on the Evo!![]()
